James Milner - static

  • Quick question. Why is James Milner static on the index. Can’t see any price movement on graph for the past 6 months... Leads me to a broader question can a player go lower than his IPO price?

  • Milner was IPO'd too high so he's "stuck" at that price. Lots of players similarly stuck lower down the index. IMO it's something FI should sort out. Not least because players like Milner in the Top 200 are blocking others from getting MB

Btw Milner is leading the assist charts in the UCL this season. So he might actually be a decent investment. You go first... ;)

  • My understanding is that he's hugely over-valued and so absolutely no one has gone near him. I believe there was something said a while ago (I could be wrong) that a price can go below the IPO although evidence shows that's not the case. No buyers means no one to sell and so the price remains static. That could change in the future but at the moment it seems players like Milner will remain at their IPO price for the foreseeable future.

He’s 5 x times overvalued he was relegated at 50p then IPO at £2.50 in last week there’s been upto 10 futures bought in him. The realism is at £2,50 he’s hugely over priced and the laughing stock of the FI traders at that price would be same if you had Jordan Henderson at £2.50 has well some players don’t get us traders going but you could make a team of great players at wrong IPO I’d put D Sanchez and Jan V in that bracket too and I’d put Sissoko In overpriced midfield with Milner

  • I'm happy to start a campaign!!!! #GETMILNEROUT needs to happen soon as he is permanently robbing one player every day of a media dividend!!!! Alternatively we could run a #KEEPMILNER campaign and ensure he stays in the top 200 footballers until he retires which being a non drinking, non socialising, keep fit loving virgin will probably be in another ten years???

Incidentally, only 40 players in FI higher than Milner...... Has any of these IPO'd at a higher price??? Will we get the same with Romelu Lukaku when he's 36 and playing for Standard Liege????

    Honestly

-Drop players like Millner out of the top 200
    -Expand media to the squad
    -Expand media to international media

All ideas people have been pushing. Here is a suggestion. INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING THE SAME PLAYERS WIN MEDIA - BUY THE PLAYERS WHO MEDIA - ITS NOT FLIPPIN ROCKET SCIENCE !!!!!!

We have people whining that PB is too hard to win due to the new IPO and we have other people trying to make media dividends harder to win. Its not a game - we are here to make money. Having one source of dividends predictable is a good thing. I don't understand what goes on inside people's head sometimes - if you want a more fun and less predictable game then fine go for PB. Sometimes I despair for the future of the human race.

  • And no I wasn't here day 1 picking up Naymar's for £1.50 in case people wondering. I prefer to buy media players though and just don't understand why we get a flood of players actually putting forward ideas that will make the game harder to make money.

The Millner thing isn't a biggie - it more the expanding to the squad suggestions and the including overseas media. But its still an example of people not understanding what is a good thing.

  • @Chicken-Badge
"in last week there’s been upto 10 futures bought in him"
How do you know how many futures have been bought in him ?

Is there a way to see a breakdown of how many futures are owned in a player total?

    Cheers

On the opta chart it says the % rise in a day or in a week so you get the price divide it by 100 (has there’s 100 futures to a penny) then times it by the percentage rise and by my calculations should be upto ten for that player I just worked it out quick in my head.

  • @mike778 fck me.... you're either a life long Leeds fan from Wortley or a 40 year old non drinking or smoking virgin who lives an exemplary life in the Milner mold???????? listen, if you want James Milner in the top 200, you can have him!!!! He means nothing to me (other than being a respectful ex England player that always gave his all) but I do think it is useful to point out to the Mods of FI that he's a little overpriced in my opinion!!!!! Maybe the 3 months of ZERO price movement is right up your stable money making street and yes, I would like a more fun less predictable outcome than earning bugger all from a player with no movement which is why like 99% of folk on here i totally ignore him.

I don't see any issues with us asking FI to slightly lower his over-inflated IPO and I'm sure if they do cave in to our reasonable demands the future of our human race won't suffer too much either??
