@Black-wolf That's the problem though people get scare mongered rather than looking at the facts. messi has won 20p in dividends this week, and hes down 30p?!? i've had 10% Return in dividends after only holding for 2 months??? I use to be one of the stupid ones avoiding messi because of his age, but then clearly saw hes the best hold on the index and so its proving. so his drop is a shock and proves traders are paranoid. DIVIDENDS HAVE INCREASED ON AVERAGE 75% SINCE SHARE SPLIT!!!!!! THERE IS STILL NO PLAYER HIGHER PRICED THAN AT SHARE SPLIT.....

RE: Tanking PB players
@Leclerc In regards to TAA, KDB and Kimmich, all of them are solid holds playing for teams likely to progress late into the Champions league (Every knockout game is a Gold match day) But all of them except from Kimmich has had massive rises recently so there will be people taking profits. Kimmich hasn't risen the same due to 2nd places and potential positional change, but he does have the 2nd highest average PB score on the index, so you could argue he is one of the best holds regardless of position and has just been unlucky
RE: Tanking PB players
Out of interest, this will be my first December on here, is it usual for the market to take a dip?
Not worried about my PB holds, i take comfort in seeing Messi has nearly won more divs in the last 7 days, than his 7 day drop.. as crazy as that is it reminds me i have an edge over a lot of traders and that is why my dividends far exceeds my commission paid, i also know if everyone was like me there would be no FI!
Most good PB holds have returned 5-7% in the last month and a half, this is a 3 year bet, i wouldn't be concerned unless any of those holds were looking increasingly unlikely to challenge for PB, you can't help what other traders do and most are impatient and will (perhaps rightly or wrongly) take the cap app. But they will also be the first ones back on next time they do win dividends. I still can't believe how generous the pay outs are so i wont be selling soon!
P.S. - I'm a Massive NO for tiered PB, it would just simply be too easy.
Golovin only played 31 minutes!!
So Golovin is one of the biggest price deceases of the day after posting a PB score of 103 after just 31 minutes on the pitch, no goal or assist.
The drop seems so unjustifiable, that i thought considering he is a PB hold that traders might have sold him after not doing the research and making the assumption he posted 103 pts after a full 90 minutes?
I can't think of any other reason for that drop. 103 points in 31 mins no goal contribution, not far of Kroos numbers.
I would understand a 3p drop but to be the second biggest drop of the last 24 hours? Madness.
But Kimmich is the 3rd biggest drop, despite having by far the highest PB average of any defender on the index (much better than Trents) and has just been unlucky with timing, so i guess you can't expect patience or reason on here no more!
Sorry if this comes across as a rant, just wanted to point some things out in case they had been missed.
RE: Portfolio for sale - any takers?
Fair play to you mate i don't blame you for taking a time out! Today has infuriated me and i've made £100 profit!! No this isn't the bit when i BS you and label myself a 'Guru' like others do. Virtually every single strong hold i have, the world class, regular dividends and top players playing week in week out, ALL OF THEM ARE DROPPING!! All of them.. I've made profit today and all the risers are crap players!!! Literally complete nobodys that will never win dividends & play like 10 games a season.. i might be in the Green today but it's actually made me less confident with FI, my rises today were complete luck, as i said, they arn't good players! Whether i'm losing money or making money, i don't like it to be in the wrong way, a nonsensical way.. You don't have to be losing money to see when something is wrong, it's blatant right now and a minus footie on a CL night wednesday during a 5% bonus proves it. I still have faith in the platform but let's look at the reality of the current state of the market.
RE: 5% bonus effect?
The market has reacted pretty much as i expected with my port. Top players minor drop, injured players rising and other holds as normal. I am actually down 1.05% today but that's down to a player (under 40p) i have a lot of futures in (stagnant all bonus period) dropping 15% in last few hours. Something that could've happened any day and will recover, so not related to the bonus at all. It's a minor kick in the balls but overall it's been quite decent! Be interesting to see the footie at midnight
RE: Instant sell not available
I've had Mason Greenwood sat in the sell queue for 5-6 days now? since like 10 minutes after he scored, the fact he still hasn't sold despite circumstances and the club hes from, i think thats shocking, the lack of liquidity in the market is surely a problem? No wonder people are IS! had Dele alli in sell queue for 10 days, hes now lower than if i IS at the time, so i can fully understand why people would IS in the current state of the market
RE: Port (bleeding badly)
A lot of people saying on here that the £1-£2 market is booming this is not really true, Hamza choudhury, Alex Oxlade, Andy Robertson all dropping quickly, lucas digne, richarlison, dwight Mcneil, Dele alli, Ross Barkley, Ryan Fraser and Zinchencko all plummeting, These are all well seasoned or good young premier league regulars, all under £2 and dropping like crazy, people need to wake up and realize the market is broken!
RE: Port Strategy
Yeah a change of strategy seems the best option right now but every time i consider selling a player, i just know i'll be throwing away divs and would probably regret it long term so its cache 22, the problem i have is with things being this volatile and it seeming that stat crunching and football knowledge isn't enough anymore, which encouraged me to 'invest' so much money but now i see it as much more gambling than an investment, which tempts me to withdraw a lot and just play with profits, I don't want to do that because i know how amazing this platform can be, but its going down the route of short term trading over long term trading... Short term trading makes FI more money and business decisions they have made (such as increase in IPD) is driving this change in the market and is probably the way they would prefer it to go, they'd lose long term traders, but they don't make much money of those kind of traders, for example until a few weeks ago my dividends has always been way over my commissions paid out, what good to FI is a trader who e.g. puts 1K into a player, holds for 2 years, collects 25% div ROI in that time and then sells to market, pays the 2% commission and withdraws... FI have loss money on that trader!! Cap App that anyone earns, is coming out of another traders pocket, however the dividends earned V commisions paid is either filling FI's pocket or coming out their pocket, so from FI point a view the market right now probably suits them perfectly
EDIT I hope i'm terribly wrong about this, i just have a feeling short term trading is the way FI would want it to be, increasing dividends (FI paying us money) would mean a decrease in commissions (Us paying FI money)
