    • A Flash from the Past (Pre-Share Split Nostalgia)

Just found this on my computer. I thought it would be interesting to share for people who joined after the share split and haven't seen prices anything like this before. Maybe a touch of nostalgia for those who do remember this far back...

Had a £1000 Dividend milestone of my own last night. Rashford's MB win took him through the £1000 dividend landmark for me. Well done Marcus!

      Round 1 Results

      (1) Westy 382 v 356 Le Blanc
      (2) ZakStag 429 v 246 Advinculas Index
      (3) Dan W 552 v 487 TDOG
      (4) BMCG 279 v 329 Wolves86
      (5) Misto 463 v 471 Ynot_b

      Gameweek 1 Friendlies

      Magpie9 376 v 450 Erased Citizen
      THFC1972 323 v 487 Carboney
      Royston Vasey 388 v 356 Sped
      MickTurbo 489 v 458 Martyn B
      ChazFI123 340 v 350 Vaughany

Dan W was star of the show with a mighty 552 points. @TDOG can count himself very unlucky to be defeated in a high scoring game despite getting the third highest score of the week. @Ynot_b edged out @Misto in the closest game. Elsewhere @Westy, @ZakStag and @Wolves86 also progressed to Round 2. The friendlies saw victories for @Erased-Citizen, @Carboney, @Royston-Vasey, @MickTurbo and @Vaughany. Well done to all the winners.

The updated Round 2 will follow shortly along with the eligible fixtures for the gameweek. Friendlies will also be arranged for teams who have been knocked to ensure everyone has had two weeks worth of fixtures, This will be the final week to include friendlies before the serious business of the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final in the three weeks afterwards.

    • Irony!

MB was opened up outside the Top 200 and suddenly seemingly random players starting winning. Too unpredictable and MB has been ruined were common arguments put forward.

Then MB started to get more predictable again and the same few players started getting regular top three returns. Shock winners dried up somewhat. Some users (myself included) started getting regular returns again.

Then came the devastating coronavirus and now we can only play for MB for the foreseeable future. The cries started again. The same few players keep winning! PB players are virtually worthless for the next few months! If your portfolio isn't MB friendly, you're doomed!

Maybe FI had got it right all along when they opened MB up to the entire index. Imagine if they hadn't. Most players wouldn't be eligible for anything each day. Now we just need some unpredictability to return to raise interest levels in more players...

Maybe De Gea's transfer can be revived? Perhaps Phil Jones will go viral for scoring from 50 yards in training and celebrating with a Peppa Pig dance. Maybe Fred will be revealed as Pele's secret love child. Who knows, perhaps a Man Utd player won't even finish top three for a week?! All of these things would do nothing for my dividend returns but a return to unpredictable media could just be what is needed until the resumption of league games is in sight.

      Round 2 Results

      Boris 492 v 589 Westy
      Magpie9 492 v 342 THFC1972
      Royston Vasey 542 v 481 MickTurbo
      Erased Citizen 434 v 570 ChazFI123
      Carboney 539 v 419 Sped
      Martyn B 589 v 366 Vaughany
      ZakStag 423 v 539 Dan W
      Wolves86 481 v 441 Ynot_b

      Gameweek 2 Friendlies

Le Blanc 589 v 500 Advinculas Index (Le Blanc first team)
      TDOG 589 v 226 BMCG
Le Blanc 326 v 403 Misto (Le Blanc reserves)

      Gameweek Report

@MickTurbo's hope of a dream final against his mate Martyn B came to an end as he fell to defeat against an inspired @Royston-Vasey. @Martyn-B kept his side of the bargain with a convincing victory and a massive score of 589. @Westy matched the gameweek high score to very, very sadly put paid to the hopes of Boris! @ChazFI123 was another to run up a huge score on his way to victory while there were also good wins for @Dan-w, @wolves86 and @Magpie9. Elsewhere in the friendlies, @Le-Blanc, @TDOG and @Advinculas-Index showed they were perhaps unlucky to be eliminated at the first hurdle last week by all racking up scores of 500 or above.

Many congratulations to the winners. The quarter final draw and eligible fixtures are coming shortly.

Close to 8% up in less than three turbulent months and you are not happy?!

If you'd put the money in the bank you'd probably be looking at an interest rate of 0.01% for a year...

Speaking of bizarre high scores how did the Villarreal goalkeeper get 250 odd last night? As far as I can see, he only made a couple of saves and didn't save any penalties or assist any goals.

My question would be why has the "Special One" left Kane out of the squad ????? Transfer rumour, disagreement or has he shares in FI

      Yes I hold Kane!!!!!!!!

Just back from injury. Busy schedule. Injury prone at this time of year. Confident (and justifiably so) of winning without him.

I think Gnabry has had over 450 once. Might even have been close to 500. Can't remember whether that is the record.

We are still in a pandemic! Businesses are struggling and crumbling everywhere. Many people are watching their finances. Give it a few months and confidence should improve. Euro 2021 looks like it could come at a perfect time too - increasing interest in FI just as we are emerging from the worst of the pandemic.

Yeah, definitely three times. I own him in bulk so I certainly appreciated the payouts.

Ericali can't be that good because he's been telling people not to buy Sancho since the beginning of time. Glad I didn't listen because I bought plenty for less than £3, sold some for £15 and plenty more for over £14. When prices rise these days, Sancho is always one of the first to rise. Plenty of life left in him yet!

Champions League and Europa League are Gold from QF onwards. Last 32 of Europa League will be Gold IF all matches are played on the same night and not moved for any reason.

@Boris999 he is good value. Coz of his age and ipd his price has gone down but can’t argue with his returns nearly as good as pogbas 😂

He’s like haaland could get a hat trick On a gold match day but still not win the pb purely coz he’s a goal hanger doesn’t pass much

All valid points and it is worth noting that he generally outperforms Haaland at half the price.
