Few names to research there that are 26 or younger and all significantly under £1
Wonder if we will ever go a week without IPOs going wrong, dividends not being paid, the website crashing, PB scores not working or some other tech issue.
Can afford fancy TV adverts but it doesn't look good to newbies of stuff goes wrong all the time.
Morata is very cheap imo. 25% the price of João Felix and I think Morata will score more goals this season. His price should start to creep up with Champions League goals etc.
Borja Iglesias is another I hold. Just transferred to Betis and looks like he will be the main striker. If Fekir performs well he could create alot of chances for Iglesias
I've got Federico Chiesa as my big Serie A hope. Hoping for a big club season and potential Euro 2020 involvement.
Also gone for Eljif Elmas. 19 years old and has started alot of Napoli's pre-season games. They paid £15m for him and expecting he could soon be a similar price to Kluivert or Zaniolo at Roma.
I've been tracking him all Summer watching his price drop and drop. Thought about getting on him at £1.70 but stuck my money elsewhere. Now he's down at £1.57 I've took the plunge. Way too good a price to ignore him now. Not even bothered if he doesn't move until Jan.
Bought half of what I plan to own. Will monitor and buy the other half when I feel the time is right.
I think it's easy to read the forum and Twitter and just think that FI is basically free money, so don't let the braggers out there make you think it's rosy for everyone.
I'm doing quite well (about 45% up so far) and have been on for 9 months.
First 3 months I barely turned a profit and had some bad luck. For example I was up on Rob Holding and then he got a season ending injury and in the space of minutes all that profit went. It's probably only since April that I have started to see my returns accelerate and I had a very good June and July.
Everyone has their own strategy but generally I try and buy cheaper players and try and buy on a dip. I do though have some more expensive players (Mbappe, Brewster, Maddison, VJ, O Dembele) because it's a good idea to diversify the portfolio. Before I buy anyone though I ask myself why I'm picking them up, why they represent good value, why is their price currently so low?
Give yourself some time and don't be put off by a bit of red. Maupay bags a brace in the league and he will rise 40p per share.
Ashley Barnes could score a fair amount this season, I think his price is around maxed out though. I got him at 40-something but sold last weekend in the low 60's. Might be worth picking up if he drops to the 50's over the international break.
Ashley Barnes could be involved over international break. Sure I read somewhere that he now represents Austria!
