See the odd post from new traders asking if they should be buying now or wait for the new season.
There should be no difference....
If you're not comfortable holding the stares for the term of the shelf life (3 years) you shouldn't be comfortable holding them for 3 minutes.
Unless you're a flipper.
That was always my thinking when I bought my players for transfer spec. With them being so volatile you can easily get caught out and miss the dip. Went with players that had a bit more about them. Like good PB stats. So I was confident they would always rise again if I missed the dip.
Players I've been buying recently for pure PB have had a short/medium term element to them. Come October I may flip some of them when I look to start buying for the January transfer window.
@Fletch not a game changer but it brings more players into play... Goalkeepers probably the biggest winners??? the likes of De Gea, Arrizabalaga, even Joe Hart i bet would of had media attention in the past and because they would never be in the top 200 we don't get to see it? they'll be lower down players on quiet days that might get a transfer.. again not necessarily top 200 material but they deserve their day in the sunlight... I just think capping news to the top 200 shuts off a huge proportion of what really is happening in the game and if 'everyone' can win MB then it will spread investment and perhaps make those players at 30 and over not so useless to hold after all!!!!
@Allams-Out Thank you. I hope they can get the forum updated with this feature soon, the community is growing but without the search engine-the amount of repeat topic threads is getting hard to sift through.
@Munchie63 The beauty and pain of the platform haha. @Andy-M is a guru on this platform, with so many different experiences from others too you will learn that the market can only be predicted in part.
@dannypea I'm pretty sure, say 99.99999% certain that they don't want to give a new 3 year life line because they need the original traders to sell up and create a shit load of commission, those guys must be sitting on a hell of a lot of shares, absolute gold mine to FI.
The part about knowing when your 3 years is a sucker, I guess the only thing we can do is wait until we've been on the index for say 34 months and go through the transaction history, now that ain't going to be fun to say the least, I'm trying not to worry about it because I've still got 2 years and 5 months to reach 3 years, and I'm not sure if i hold anyone from the first couple of months.
Let's hope that they fix something to help us with this problem.
This is not as difficult as it sounds. If you go to transactions, you can export the data in Excel, and filter by the date.
