there's an Ian Smith.... 24p who apparantly plays for Costa Rica....?
I've googled him and got Rhodesian Politician.... Definitely not a footballer!!!!
I've always fancied a holiday to Zimbabwe!!!
I would like to see United go all out for Jose Giminez of Atletico? De Ligt from Ajax or Inigo Martinez of Bilbao (largely because I hold him) as they certainly need a CB and I trust that Lindelof will be the long term answer if he can find a reliable partner?
I also think a right back is a must? Hysaj of Napoli is an immediate improvement? Could they get Meunier?? Wan Bissaka from Palace could be a long term option?
Then in midfield and attack... Brozovic, Perisic, Rebic.. take your pick from Croatia...? Even Jovic, SMS or Timo Werner as a gamble to bolster the frontline???
Must be fun owning a club like Man Utd... I already have my 'Football Manager' head on and with an open chequebook United could pretty much 'buy' who they want from anyone outside the EPL top five perhaps, Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG & Juve??
whats the story with Joe Bryan?... just had a look at the squad and I would say it lacks a bit of steel in MF... Drinkwater would be a great addition... Possibly a decent RB too? I do like Serri, Sessegnon further forward, Tom Cairney is a cracking player and Mitrovic is a horrible old school no9 that should hold the ball up well.. I liked Ream & Odoi from last season but Mawson is a great addition... just getting them to gel all into a decent lineup which I suppose has been Jokanovic's problem this season??
tbf both Sanchez & Coutinho were huge favs to go in Jan as they should have both moved moved in the summer but for running their contracts down with a bottom lip as their clubs were reluctant to let them go...
Pulisic and Dembele are different... young players that their clubs don't really need to sell.. Arnautovic is an interesting one... West Ham need him, but the money from United might be too good to turn down... United need a quick fix so this works... as does cutting their losses on Sanchez???
I think what happens (and this happened last international break) is that after a few days of nothing news UK newspapers have nothing else to talk about so start the speculation dominoes which in effect is great for FI!!!
This will probably filter out over the coming weeks (so some may cash out on the spikes) but with the window around the corner I'm hoping this 'adds' to the positivity that is in the market for FI... transfer speculation is good for the game in general as proven by the rises in Arnautovic, Pulisic, Dembele, Alexis etc!!!
I think Ranieri is a 'gamble'... this certainly gives Fulham a chance of staying up and there was no reason to think Jokanovic would have improved anything sooner so as said above.. Any decision made couldn't be any worse than their current situation but from an FI perspective I would think you're treading on broken glass to invest in Fulham players off the back of this?
You might get stung if they fail, you might do well if they improve... it really is a gamble??
Granted he's done well in the past, but he's also failed at a few so not necassarily every job he takes on will be the one smelling of roses?
I do think however with Fulham's squad they should be doing much better than they are doing and Ranieri does have what it takes to get results... I suppose its all down to how they talk on board his philosophy??
I would argue is he the type of player that fits the Liverpool ethos??
I would also argue that I don't think Barcelona are that bothered about letting him go... And certainly wouldn't in January if they could not replace him and I wonder 'IF' they are even in the market right now to replace him??
So on that basis... I'm out!!!
