3 months on the index...
Fast approaching 3 months on the index and have enjoyed every minute and learned A LOT about the market. Invested £500 spread out over the first 3-4 weeks. Made plenty of rookie mistakes which cost me about £20 in commission within the first week due to panic buying, panic instant selling and getting sucked into that deadly top 5 risers section...
I've learnt that patience is key now and am currently sitting on a 12% ROI which I think is decent for just under 3 months.
Portfolio is below. Trying to keep it quite diversified between MB and also long term holds for cap app. Looking forward to the new season to see how the market plays out as I joined the index with only about 4-5 GW's left of the season.
Not sure why I hold 1-2 share in some players which can be frustrating when they see a decent rise but hey I guess every penny tops up the profit 😂

RE: Yussuf Poulsen, nice 30 days ahead...
@Tom77 Can easily see a 10p rise over the next couple weeks, maybe pushing 30p+ with a few goals based on the current volatility of the market.

Yussuf Poulsen, nice 30 days ahead...
£1.24 at the moment feel like hes a good shout for some IPDs and short term CA over the next 30 days. Regularly turns out for Leipzig. Denmark have Gibraltar and Georgia in the euro qualifiers so pretty confident theres a few goals/assists IPD to be had there too.
Another cheaper option for Denmark is Kasper Dolberg at 93p. Doesn't have his spot nailed down in the starting XI for Denmark but should still get some good minutes over the two games I'd imagine

RE: Pogba going boom! Boom! Booooom!
15p down because hes off penalties as if they're the only thing that contributes to his price, the panic that sets in from some people is ridiculous

RE: The Messi drop
He would clean up in the Prem, people have this opinion that England is more physical and tougher than other league and he would struggle- yeah maybe 7+ years ago but not anymore. The Prem is no more physical than any other league in the world. They also think quality runs throughout the whole league when in actual fact half the league is made up of really shit teams no better than your Eibars and Getafes. If he goes to City, with the players around him, he'll be putting up ridiculous numbers for his age.

RE: Time for Ronaldo
@LittleFish People are generally put off by his age, but given he'll be Portugal's main man at the Euro's I think he's a safe hold until at least May. During that time he'll return massive dividends as well. If Juve perform well in the UCL he'll creep up in price as we head into the knockout rounds too. I think he's a steal at his current price given his yield

RE: All aboard the Messi train - The Future King of FI
@MM potentially, I'd say it's more the fact that any dividend increase will benefit Messi as he is great for both PB and MB. So is bound to see a rise post announcement

RE: Dortmund vs Barcelona
Call me optimistic but I can see Sancho scoring 4, mopping up PB & MB and rocketing to about £8.50.
I'm sure you could call me many things for thinking and hoping for that but optimistic will do ;) …
In serious though think it's going to be a great tie!!

RE: Capital Appreciation v Dividends V2.0
I've overlooked dividends since I've been on the index but my most recent purchases have been focused around dividend players just to maintain at least some sort of cash in flow per week. The main purchase being Pogba, I only hold 49 shares (apologies to the OCD among you) but he's provided me 2% ROI in just 13 days of holding. Although due to recent events I'm down 33p on each share I'm more than confident he'll reach £8 within the next 3 months whilst maintaining a good dividend yield in this time. I've got fairly sizeable holds in Ronaldo & Messi too who I'm confident will return a good amount of divs over the season especially during the UCL latter stages. I'm happy with the way my port is currently split with around a 30%:70% split focused on dividends and capital appreciation.
I think neither should be overlooked by the other in terms of a better way too earn cash, if they're providing profit then who cares?!

RE: Who's staying?
Staying. It's got to the "all in" point for me. Tempted to try and sell some deadwood and put it all into Messi/Bruno/Neymar and just come back in 3 years to see what div's have accumulated - or just delete the app and try to forget about it for 3 years and hopefully come back to a portfolio at least at 50% profit

🐐 price post Barcelona?
Interested to hear people's valuations of Messi should he leave Barcelona end of the season.
Looks like it's either going to be PSG or City, both of which I think will be positive on his price. The MB if he joined the Prem would be endless and it's hard to not see him sweeping up PB consistently in Ligue 1.
City: £7-8
PSG: £6-7Thoughts?

RE: Biggest Loss vs Biggest Profit
Including dividends:
Loss: Griezmann -£210 (6.3% of investment)
Profit: Messi £284 (that is purely dividends lol)
Griezmann should hopefully rise as we near the euros, pisses me off how I was torn between him and Bruno who at the time was around £2.80 🤢

RE: Ericali.. Doing his bit
Just ignore him then and have faith in the reasons you hold Sancho in the first place.

RE: Kroos Pb beast
234 in 2-0 loss... Why couldn't Madrid just grab even a draw!!!? Don't think that'll be enough to get top midfielder tonight :/
