    • RE: The domino effect

@Squire1905 There's talk apparently that Brighton might be looking to play 3 CBs this season so it may not be that cut and dry.

Leicester have been interested in Dunk in the past and Rogers knows him so it could happen, but my personal feeling is that they will try for Tarkowski ahead of Dunk. I also think there is a fair chance they will choose to/be forced to run with Soyuncu and Benkovic in the hope that one of them will be able to step up and play alongside Evans.

For transparency I am a Leicester fan and have set my portfolio to reflect these views (Lots of Soyuncu and a smaller amount of Benkovic and Tarkowski futures with no Dunk) so sods law Dunk will join and I will be left with egg on my face.

    • RE: Which players has the money missed?

I've gone for a lot of the names mentioned here but I want to throw Ricardo Pereira into the mix. Admittedly I am a holder and a Leicester fan so I'm biased but I felt he was too cheap before the deposit news dropped and he still hasn't moved. 89p for a relatively young attacking full back who has a chance of being in the Portugal squad for the Euros. Peaked at £1.09 a month or so ago and has an average PB score comfortably ahead of the other Leicester defenders.

    • Odegaard

Anyone know why his price has suddenly rocketed? I'm not complaining as he was one of my first purchases when I joined at the start of July but the sudden spike seems a bit out of the blue. I know he had a good game at the weekend and Sociedad have a Sunday game next week followed by a Friday game the week after but would this be enough to cause a rise of almost 20p in an hour or is there more to it?

@Ericali Thanks mate, sounds like its one to keep monitoring for the time being.

    • RE: Nketia

I've been watching Nketiah's price fall over the last couple of weeks to the point that he is starting to look good value again to me at £1.39.

It sounds like he's going on loan to the Championship next season, with Leeds the most likely destination, so no PB potential but I'd be interested to know what people think this will do to his price. Will there be another drop before he bottoms out or will the prospect of regular Championship football at a decent Championship team mean his price will start going up again (assuming he plays reasonably well)?

I could do with a bit more youth with decent cap ap potential in my portfolio so I'm tempted to jump on.

    • RE: Who replaces Maguire?

@Ericali I could see this happening, although I thinkrightt now Soyuncu would start ahead of Benkovic, partly because he has looked good in pre-season and partly because Benkovic was late getting into pre-season because of the U21 Euros (where I think he picked up a minor injury).

If Soyuncu starts well Benkovic may struggle to break into the team.

    • RE: Maguire deal done?

@Squire1905 I agree, plus we already have Wes Morgan if we want to play an old geezer at the back!

    • RE: Maguire deal done?

@Squire1905 I didn't have much in him to be honest, more of an experiment whilst I try and get my head around short term trades (only been on the paltform for a month) and I wanted to practice timing the sale to hit the maximum before he starts dropping again. I expect his price will rise again shorlty but I want to put the Maguire money into whoever ends up benefiting most out of him leaving... whoever that may be!

    • RE: Maguire deal done?

Phew, managed to sell to market at £2.38 and make a bit of profit.

Gutted he's gone as a fan but for that money no complaints, particularly if we get a half decent replacement and a quality winger with the cash.

    • RE: Man City / Liverpool / Chelsea / Leicester/ wolves starting 11?

Leicester fan here. Regular starters for us this season are likely to be:

      Schmeichel
      Chilwell
      Evans
      Maguire (if he stays)
      Ricardo
      Ndidi
      Maddison
      Tielemans
      Vardy

If Maguire goes they may look to get Tarkowski or possibly Dunk who would probably come in as first choice. If not it’s a toss up between Soyuncu and Benkovic for the other CB slot. Benkovic played well for Rodgers at Celtic But was injured at the Euro u21s and hasn’t featured much pre-season so my guess would be Soyuncu would be given a chance opening day.

Expect rotation between Barnes, Perez, Albrighton and Gray on the wings. Don’t be surprised to see another winger join (please be Ziyech!).

There’s talk we are after another attacking mid but I expect this will be cover rather than a starter.

James Justin might get the odd game if Ricardo plays right wing but will likely feature more in the cups.

Expect Choudhury to get some limited game time too but he is behind Ndidi at the moment.

@Ddr Thanks, that’s a relief. I have a (fairly small) holding - was worried he’d had a career ending injury or was off to China for a second but sounds like people just freeing some cash.

      @Moukoko

      Excellent feedback, thanks for sharing.

I took a flier on Akieme a while back before he moved to Barca, based mainly on him being cheap for his age but backed up with some youtube highlights. Great to hear he's doing well - I'm hoping/assuming that's why his price has jumped up rather than a pump and dump.

Not so great to hear about Abel Ruiz though as I have as much invested in him as I do Akieme!

@Hotspur I bought in on Pepe yesterday so I hope you're right!

Feels like he's bound to put in a big performance before too long and hopefully that'll help kick start his season.

    • RE: Ricardo pereira

He's my biggest hold - as a Leicester fan I really rate him. Obviously I am biased but as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, his stats support my blue tinted view. I've been baffled for a while at why his price stayed so low for so long so it's good to see him finally getting some recognition.

    • RE: Under 20p Under 25 years old

I took a punt on Ivan Alejo who plays for Getafe but is on loan to Cadiz. 24 years old and got his first start for Cadiz in their most recent game where he got an assist. From what I can gather (mainly from YouTube clips) he’s got plenty of skill but is a bit of a hot head which has held him back so this loan is probably make or break for him. At 18p per share I thought it was worth a gamble.

    • RE: Which of your holds has not had the bonus bounce

@Ddr He was 86p when the announcement was made, jumped up a few pence then was back down to 87p at the time I made that post but I couldn’t be bothered to go into detail about how he’d gone up a bit then come back down. Anyway I must have jinxed it in a good way as he’s gone up 2p again since I originally posted!

Ricardo Pereira, Alcantara, Koke and Chilwell are my biggest holds with little or no movement.

I bought VVD after the initial rush because he didn’t move so I’m hoping he has a good game over the weekend and gets a belated increase!

Out of interest do people think Son will be a regular starter in the league this season or is there likely to be an element of rotation with Moura performing well and Lamela wanting game time?
