@NewUser87483 I have index gain too and I find it an excellent resource , the info includes the source the rumours or transfer news originated and thats what I am looking to filter. I already ignore most UK rags as most are just crap stories that are printed to fill up the back pages. I imagine the same could be said for most of the European rags but there must be a couple that have at least a small element of honesty about them. If they could be identified it means we can shovel the garbage to one side and concentrate on the sports journalists who are doing a good job.
Other than that Sky Sports and Online media outlets are available but again which are reliable.
I've invested about £520 since joining about 5 weeks ago and currently sitting at about 5.5% growth with is about £30 profit which is a good return in 5 weeks trading and understanding the platform etc. And that's also with holding players like neymar pogas rashford which probs down about 3-4% on their own lol.
And as I said to others that £500 sitting in my bank wouldn't of made £30 in 5 weeks not to mention once the bonus comes through so once that does I'll be sitting at roughly 10% ROI.
And like everyone else anticapte it to go higher once new season starts with added marketing and new users etc
Seeing this thread I've read all the literature on the website and the things that stood out for me;
Seems like your build a 'sportsfolio' (cheesy name) for each match day and selling is a pregame or in game event.
No idea how the initial player prices will be set each week/game day between 1p and £1.
If your player doesn't play you effectively lose your bet through him scoring no points, so, risky to buy to far in advance of the game starting.
From a marketing perspective it might be placing itself as a competitor to FI but for me this is match day betting dressing up as an exchange. with that said I will be interested to see how it works when it goes live, if your a day trader and football fan could be fun.

Obviously some will play some won't but as I don't know at present I chuck them all in.
@Dan-The-Man Keepers are probably as you say the more reliable holds and the possibility of FI beginning to focus on them is always there. I hold Pickford and have for a while. All keepers keep clean sheets which gives you some div return and have fairly stable share prices . As far as outfield players are concerned to sink and sit on a small group of players for 3 years is a less favorable plan than 2 years ago when I joined. I sank into Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar and sat doing nicely, but moving on from them and trying to find players who give you dividends across the board and Capitol Appreciation is less obvious and more of a risk as at some point FI may tweek the rules and make what was a sound investment less so. Case in point if the platform were to become less media orientated Pogba would be a less attractive investment. It wouldn't effect the likes of Pickford or Messi as much because they aren't media reliant. IMO the pitch of long term holds are a less attractive alternative to short or medium holds which means revenue for the platform turns over quicker which to FI is both more beneficial and desirable.
WATCH THIS SPACE!! IN all seriousness I have been taking most of your comments on board and do understand your horror at having MBs away. That horrible feeling of dread when you think of what you are going do on those cold lonely nights with no dividends to sit up and wait for. Its that feeling we have all had when the Wife has left us, or the Girlfriend has kicked you into touch, Eh I'll get pissed, What am I gonna do with myself, I feel ya guys, I do.
So ! GUESS WHAT ! Ive only gone and done it ! I have cracked how to put the light back into your dreary miserable FI MB obsessed lives, put a smile on your faces ! Just as we asked MR Fantasy to Sing A Song, Make it Snappy and Make us all happy, Just as Blind Faith did I am Mr Fantasy, Bringing joy.
A NEW TOPIC ! COMING SOON TO A FORUM NEAR YOU!
The revised proposal ! with MBs ( Sort OF) restructured dividends and not a day without them. No Nibbling just taking a keen interest in my fellow investors on FI. Your friendly helping hand.
Dont worry I won't want your gratitude or need any credibility in FI FI land I have a real world where I have enough of that Thanks. So even after 50 posts from the same person and probably the same in replies on top of which a sum total of 170 posts I get picked up on my grammar. The word Grammar slipped out of the dictionary 40 years ago along with any meaning it had. Have you seen a 16 year olds text message lately. Yet still I have been working away so that you guys could have your wish and can celebrate a victory.(SORT OF)
@NewUser328715 if you had 10 Shares at £2.50 costing total £25 and sold at £2.30 u would return £22.54. or £2.25 per share. If u were lucky and had this player for 4 matches and he won dividends every game you would still struggle to take a profit. Which is why I question how the spread is actually calculated.
@Indexical Messi was my biggest div returner by far, but I sold post split as the value had rocketed and in general, pre split his capital losses far outweighed his dividends wins. The great paradox of the Index!
And anyone who plays the casino deserves to lose money. There is money to be made from some people who are prepared to sell players for nothing. There were aguero cards trading at £16 yesterday and he costs £35 this morning
Considering he’s been injured for 3 months, he’s held a pretty decent price. Add a little Copa MB spice over the summer, then the real money will come in at the start of next season. He won’t always be this price. I remember early autumn last year he was around £15.76 (old money) for maybe 2 months then he exploded into life. Kane too was the perennial £9 (£3.33) man for 6-7 months and now he’s £15 (or £5 in today’s money 😉)
When a player is suddenly back in vogue it all happens very quickly.
