    • RE: Bruno Fernandes

      @Pez Because it must be the players full FI name for articles to be credited.

    • RE: Have we bottomed out yet?............

      I don't think we are anywhere near the bottom. We'll be lucky if there's any football played in the next 6 months in my opinion. I'm sure we'll see some nice positive announcements about completing the season by the end of June after the PL meeting tomorrow but I also think it's highly unlikely to come true.
      The longer we go the tougher people's financial situations potentially become and the more boredom kicks in for many.

      @NewUser198448 said in The end of football index? How’s it gonna recover?:

      Will FI ever recover from this? Once this is over which could be weeks or months. Surely there will be better money to be made on the actual stock market.

      This kind of utter shite is why I rarely come on the forum when the market isn't flying. Doom and gloom from the people who though they were here for easy money all the time but have no patience as soon as it's needed.

    • RE: MB points transparency needed.

      @Black-wolf Agree. This will get deleted simply because the Star has chosen to use Coronavirus: as a clickbait start to the headline. More and more headlines are doing this and the corner FI have backed themselves into in means they all get removed. If the Coronavirus was missing from the headline the article is still about the same thing but it would score points. Just seems absolutely ridiculous to me.

      @Yellow I agree. They've just backed themselves into a corner.
      The 2 biggest stories in the media today are likely to be VVD speaking out on Liverpool's title impact and Pogba launching a birthday Coronavirus appeal. Neither will win MB (or VVD sneaks 3rd place) which just seems stupid to me.

      @TotalPunt You're not alone. The whole think has become too farcical. A few very simple rules around criminal activity and racism are all we need. Other than that let the media get on with it.
      Many sites are now just using Coronavirus in virtually every football headline as it gets attention. There was nothing wring with the initial decision to not credit articles where a footballer became infected. To remove all articles with the word simply in the headline is removing too much genuine football news and completely unneccesary.

      @Ddr The MB review has a lot to address. It will be a key point for the product as a whole - I have faith it will be a significant improvement, just frustrated we have to wait.

      @Andy Its never that black and white tho. Is VVD talking about Liverpool possibly missing out on the title football related or Coronavirus related? Those get removed while Dalot making packed lunches for Bruno stand. That's certainly not the way I want MB to work.

      @Ddr
      VVD talking about potentially missing out on title - 0 pts
      Dalot making packed lunches for Bruno - 60 pts or whatever it was.
      Whoever we hold is that really the way we want the platform to work? It's a complete joke.

      @MickTurbo This is where FI have made a mockery of MB. They are going to have to remove articles where VVD is talking about potentially missing out on the title simply cos Coronavirus is in the headline. I cant think of anything more football related right now but they've backed themselves into a corner with it.

      @Yellow I believe NewsNow monitors websites directly for new content rather than RSS feeds but not 100% sure. Either way, the sooner the MB review is done the better.

      @Yellow I cant see it on the Express RSS feed. If the Express didn't add it to their RSS then it wont get added.

    • RE: Suspending FI

      @Ddr said in Suspending FI:

      However, what happens if the leagues, champs and europa league dont get finished until late July.

      Surely the latest the leagues can finish is 30th June as this is the date most contracts run until. If you are playing games in July what happens with players whose contracts expire on 30th June? So someone like Willian would have no contract to play for Chelsea in any games after 30th June.

    • RE: would you cash in on gilmour? potential to go up further? will he keep his place for the rest of the season

      Take the profit and run a mile. Gilmour is the biggest "bubble" on the index right now. No matter how good or not he may be, there is a ton of very soft money in him.

    • RE: %change of the footie question..?

      @DillyDong Only 2 options I see right now. Put into one of the premiums - Bruno, Sancho, Grealish whose prices are gonna be stable/ rising no matter what happens with any Euros or football postponements, or hold as a cash balance and wait for the next player to fly.

      @Westy One thing I noticed is the hindsight dropdown doesn't show if i'm moving my mouse from right to left - i.e. moving from hovering over "More" to hovering over "Hindsights". The other way around it's fine.

      @Advinculas-Index Have a feeling this could be a bit of a bumpy week for the FOOTIE.
      A lot of market uncertainty and it's easier to just hold a cash balance and jump on the next big riser at the moment. I can see traders continuing to build a cash balance throughout this week.

    • RE: Thomas Muller's Improving PB Stats

      @Barkez_86 Age. Muller is 30. Look at the price graphs of older PB winning players like Kroos, Parejo, Ilicic, Gomez etc.
      Older players have been bashed on this forum and twitter for a while now by the very person who is promoting an old player who hasn't won PB for as long as I can remember. It's hardly surprising people don't want to pay £1.40 for a non dividend winning 30 year old when they wont pay £1.80 for a 30 year old that has won PB 6 times this season (Parejo).
      Muller, at best, will get some spikes in price around the CL gold days but that's all they'll be. My advice would be to exit the trade on one of these spikes. Any talk of him hitting £2 as has been suggested is plain ridiculous.
