RE: EJ legend
I managed to see every name he bought. Got a video of it but Twitter's too shite to allow an upload. Anyway.....
Van de Beek
This is one IPO that went on at a really low price (75p), but still seems to have gone under the radar. Everybody I've seen who was waiting for him expected him to be £1.50+. Current price is £1.27.
I expect what held his IPO price back is not starting every game for Atalanta yet. But they've spent £12.5m on him - a big fee for them, he's highly regarded and it's only a matter of time.
He's an attack minded central midfielder with a rocket of a left foot who dribbles a lot, has a good short and long passing range and takes set pieces, including penalties. Scores a lot of free kicks. Can play both an attacking or deeper role. Fits the criteria of one capable of high peak PB scores. Got 16 goals and 16 assists last season in all competitions for Genk. Has the highest combined shots and key passes per 90 minutes in the Atalanta squad (7.5) so far.
At 26 he's a good age in a less youth focused Index. Within his prime years but still on an upward curve, being a relative latecomer to a top league.
He's the heart of a good Ukraine team along with Zinchenko, and has 6 goal contributions in 8 qualifiers. They topped the group ahead of Portugal, ending unbeaten. Should now get a favourable draw. I've watched most of their qualifiers and it's no fluke, they have plenty of quality and play some good football.
Chelsea are already linked, with Claude Makelele recommending him. This means he could have the double whammy of Euros involvement and a PL transfer - maybe even in January for the latter.
Obviously I hold but I really think he stands out as a great buy. There aren't many who tick the boxes he does around that price.
Age - tick
Player type - tick
In good attacking team - tick
Goal involvement - tick
Set pieces including pens - tick
Euro 2020 - tick
UEFA club competition - tick
Big transfer potential - tick
I wonder what price he'll be in June!
RE: Your top 20 for Euro 2020 Finals
Fabian Ruiz stands out as one who ticks all the boxes. Only 23, is becoming Spain's main man and will inevitably leave Napoli in a massive transfer, probably to Barca, Real Madrid or Man City.
Havertz is in the same boat but his form for Leverkusen will need monitoring.
Two players for decent but not top teams who I think are great holds for the Euros period are.....
Denis Zakaria - Very impressive for Gladbach and Switzerland this season. Has been linked with Man U among others and is exactly the type of player to end up in the PL. £1.33.
Ruslan Malinovskyi - Talented, eye catching attacking midfielder for Atalanta and Ukraine who takes set pieces, dribbles a lot is capable of the spectacular. Chelsea already linked, with Makelele recommending him. £1.29 looks very cheap.
All these are good ages, play for decent teams, are in UEFA club competitions, and have likely transfer sagas to go with their tournament exposure.
RE: Leandro Paredes
Would be a great signing for Man U. Would go a long way to sorting the midfield. Exactly the type they should go for right now IMO - not a stupidly expensive elite name, still a top player but a sensible one who you know what you'll get with. Very good all rounder and the perfect age at 25.
I bought him on the speculation earlier today and have now fluked a PB win!
Stinks for KDB holders though. One goal and a lot of passes v 10 men shouldn't be outscoring 2 quality goals and an assist, really.
RE: Josh DaSilva
Have been on Dasilva since April and will continue to hold.
When he gets a transfer link it will cement all the hype and drive the price above £1.50.
People will look at Eze as a guide. And Bowen (wow!).
He's a genuine top prospect and could be playing for England within 2 years. His combination of technical and physical attributes is outstanding.
RE: Shaktar Donesk: This Years Europa League Dark Horses?
0-0 at 60 mins. Ruslan subbed on on 61 mins. 0-3 at 90 mins.
It's no coincidence!
He's a time bomb on FI.
RE: Saturday Match Day
@Julian-Noble Ruslan and Yazici have been frustrating. No idea why Yazici didn't start last night, he's easily their best attacking mid. But both are very good players who will only get better. Patience needed.
I think any good players in their price range (£1 - £1.50) will find their way to £2 soon enough.
RE: Valentin Rongier
Watched their game on Friday and he was outstanding. Don't think he gave the ball away once. Excellent footballer, always knowing which way to turn and pass. Hit the post too, as my players like to do. A goal would have taken him back over 90p. Looks real value at the current price. Only a matter of time with him. Marseille have 4 good games before Xmas too.
