@Happy-Hornet said in Carlos £0.79 v Ake £1.28 1 any logic?:
Appreciate your view
While Real Madrid bent Sevilla 2-1 with Casemiro's brace, the Merengues management took notes on a special comment, Diego Carlos. The Brazilian defender is on Florentino Perez's wish list and, according to Ok Diario, the Spanish club is said to have taken him to Zidane's court. Liverpool is also on the player, but Sevilla shoot high: it takes at least 75 million euros.
Yesterday - https://m.calciomercato.com/news/real-madrid-piace-un-difensore-da-75-milioni-91401 (done a Spanish transaction)
Shot to nothing with the £500 free hit in January - a decent player and for a centre back the right age (those 2 years on Ake are a good thing)..
I am having a dabble today. Let’s who is right.
Who is your transfer gamble....
That is just newspapers making up stories to sell newspapers. Sound familiar??
Here are the facts.
He only signed for Sevilla in May 2019, so will still have years left on his contract and will likely cost any club a small fortune.
He is Brazillian and to my knowledge does not have citizenship with any EU country, so will occupy a non European spot on the roster. In la Liga, only three non-EU players are permitted and Madrid currently have six: Militão, Valverde (awaiting Spanish citizenship), Vinicius, Rodrygo, Reinier and Kubo (on loan).
They can get round this by registering players with the Castilla, which they did with VJ and Rodrygo previously, but they can only call upon 3 non EU players on a match day.
Madrid already have Ramos, Varane, Militao and Nacho (injured) as central defenders. Even Casemiro could play there if required. I cannot see them wasting another non EU slot on a player that will not be first choice.
I'm not saying Carlos isn't a good player, as he is starting every week for Sevilla, but as a transfer hold, I would not recommend him.
Like I said. Not worth a dabble.
As for my transfer shout ... I got in and out of Gabigol when the offer was announced. Made a small fortune and jumped ship.
I won't recommend any other transfer linked players, but I will advise to buy in advance and sell on the rumour. The majority of transfer rumours are nothing but smoke and mirrors.
