Thanks to everyone who mention me in the who is the best thread. It was nice and made me happy which is exactly the opposite of what FI have been doing to me for months.
Yes it’s the Enhanced Due Diligence.
I’m self employed and run a success small business.
I did what FI asked me on a piecemeal basis over a period of time. They said ok can we just have a copy of my tax return now! Well it’s with my accountant who is in lock down so I don’t have access to it. I explained this and they said fine send it when you can. The above arrived today.
My account is suspended and something else will happen on the 12th. As you can see I’ve asked what.
Luckily I’ve sold most of my profitable trades so I shall just ask for my money back. I should end up £10k for the time on the index.
I know many of you don’t like people slagging of FI because you are worried about your bets. You should all be worried because FI are going to lose those whales you all want them to have if they treat them like this.
I shall be writing to Cole sharing my experience. See if he gives a shit. My peak portfolio total was £45k, it’s now £16k. I had another £85k to put in but not now. I’ll buy a rental flat instead. Tenants are less hassle than dealing with FI.
Good luck to you all. I’ll keep you updated.
I’m also writing to the ICO because there is no way that sending very sensitive information to a generic email address is protecting your data.

    • RE: Why would u want more divs right now?

I can never understand the concerns people have with whether FI can afford to pay divendends. It would be hard to find a business that has stronger cash flow than FI. They have no manufacturing cost. They sell something that doesn't exist. We are paying hard cash for fresh air. Their ability to throw money at problems rather than addressing them indicates a business awash with cash. No I want more dividends to cover the substantially increased risk of tieing my money up. First chance if not I'm derisking.

@MickTurbo said in Daily Dividend Winners:

      I'll do it, no bother

0-£1 there are 2848 players with a proportional win ratio of 1.54% or 1 for every 65
£1-£2 there are 331 players with a proportional win ratio of 6.35% or 1 every 15.75
£2-£3 there are 79 players with a proportional win ratio of 18% or 1 every 5.5
£3-£4 there are 16 players with a proportional win ratio of 31.25% or 1 every 3.2
£4-£5 there are 12 players with a proportional win ratio of 8.33% or 1 every 12 (fairly obviously)
£5+ there are 9 players with a proportional win ratio of 55% or 1 every 1.8

Disclaimer: all figures correct at time of collation and statistics based on data provided by @Ericali

      Hope this helps 👍💰

What I would genuinely find interesting is how many dividend winners have jumped a price category since their dividend win. We can argue divs/cap app till were blue in the face, and there are those who have done just that, but my stance is that divs bring cap app so the 2 go hand in hand but with divs being the driver, or at least, the potential for divs. (See Bruno who actually made it into Eric's cap app thread iirc)

If anyone would like to pick up the baton I'm sure ppl would be very interested

The best fuck you post for awhile. 👍🏻

    • Do not Drink and FI

A timely reminder to all on this sunny Bank holiday Monday.
Yesterday in the glorious sunshine I foolishly over endulged in too much of the amber nectar.
Imagine my horror when I check my portfolio this morning to see that I bought some player called Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Not only that I bought 181. My OCD and hangover combine.🤢

      0_1566815064019_IMG_6094.PNG

Did he not player for Stoke? More horror as I see he is in the trending list. Oh 💩 A pump and dumper!
I notice now that he won dividends. A quick check on Index Gain and to my amazement he appears to be the current number one striker for PSG. His price has actually gone up after the Midnight payout!
I may well have not only dodged a bullet but may make a few quid.
Fosters anyone🍻 ? Have a safe and profitable Bank hols Monday.

@ScouseSte I'm thinking a clap outside the front door for these guys at 8pm tonight 😄

I fear that a dose of the clap may be a desirable outcome than the one that awaits some of those who have stepped into the fray.

The clap is easier to get rid of than Ighola

    • RE: Scaremongery? Your Thoughts.(Poll)

For those with short memories it was the negative comments from bed shitters in October that caused FI to remove the thread and low and behold a significant dividend increase appeared. Without constructive criticism FI will think all is Rosey in the FI garden. Suppressed criticism makes the whole thing look like some closed shop or dare I say it some elaborate pyramid scheme.

Guys can we please stop down grading peoples holdings. Can we stop calling people idiots for holding players you don't think are good holds. It doesn't do anyone any good and frankly it's getting boring.

    • RE: A Sad Day

Hi guys hope all is going well with your ports. Mine is static although it's a relief that divs and sales go through when FI embark on the draconian measure of suspending your account without notice!
Just thought I'd update you on how FI are managing the EDD process. On Sunday night I asked for the sum of money they will give me if I do not send my tax return to them. To recap I've sent everything else they requested to their satisfaction. The tax return for me is a red line, a step too far. Anyway, not reply so I emailed tonight asking for an esculation to a senior manager.
I'm writing to the Gambling Commission and to the Information Commission regarding the processes of FI. We shall see.
Keep winning. This might be you when you want your money out.
      Take Care.

@Baydog thanks mate. Currently I'm waiting for the settlement figure. I really don't want to carry on dealing with this company. I only do this for fun and their draconian rules have spoilt it. I'm not really a gambler and having large sums in such a Micky Mouse company concerns me. I'm not a good gambler because I am also a very, very bad loser. I cry if I lose £2.50 each way on the Grand National. I shall use the spare time that FI have freed up for me to ensure they remember my name. The Gambling Commission will be my first port of call to try and get EDD checks done at time of deposit. This might make them more efficient at them then.
Good luck with your admin. I'm going to have a look at this FootStock.

@Mintyfresh Good morning. A little more prospective on this. Why would someone who has got his dirty money into a bank without suspicion from the authorities then put the money into a gambling site who appear to have a much stricter approach.? Makes no sense. Just bank transfer it out the country. That’s what happened in Layer Cake 😃
Hard thing was getting ill gotten gains into the bank in the first place.

@Mintyfresh cheers. Many thanks. I'll give that a go. The fact that I said I was self employed, sent link to my business website ( showing me with upstanding TV celebs), bank statement showing daily credit card deposits, my personal bank account, clarification of a large sum sent to me by the French Gov, indirectly but that's where the money came from don't ask and then he asks for a document a self employed person doesn't have. Phone drones!

@Mintyfresh I don't even know if as a self employed person do I have a P6?. It a cost me £60 to ask my accountant so fuck it I'll see what the terms of closure are first.

    • RE: A Sad Day

@Mintyfresh it might of been me. Just checked the email from FI it was P60. I have to say the individual concerned carrying out the EDD has been very professional, other than just freezing my account with no notice and I have no problem with him. I believe like most things with FI the system is flawed. Make it up as you go along management style.

@Londoner said in A Sad Day:

@LittleFish I hope you sort this out. That deadline is the time that they'll let you know the outcome of their enquiries, or they'll require additional information. When I did my EDD last month, they responded the day after the deadline requiring additional information.

It appears to me they are aggressively making sure more "risky" accounts (i.e. non PAYE traders) can be verified beyond reasonable doubt that their source of income is clean. Just one account being discovered by authorities to be dodgy money will lead to FI's licence being revoked.

I've asked FI in this thread (FI Mark) whether they will move to doing these checks with all account holders BEFORE they can open an account, so that they fall in line with the exchange industry. No reply as yet: https://forums.footballindex.co.uk/topic/17071/the-edd-policy-has-to-change-asap

They would never willingly do that. Who in their right mind would go to all this trouble to open an account. It is totally underhand to do it when you've had money in for 18 months and want it back.

I shall be writing to the Gambling commission expressing my concerns that because of their procedures for checking for Source of Funds FI may be benefiting from illegal activity.

There I think I can hear my account closing.

@Mintyfresh cheers just to clarify a legal work of fiction. Obviously my accountants job is to minimise tax paid. A tax return doesn't show you just spent £200k on new plant or whatever.
But I can see why they want it. Been helpful if they asked for it at the beginning.

And I would add the the DD and the EDD when I withdrew money. Not when a big chunk was deposited in for the bonus. They have been taking commission from that money. Only concerned when I want it back.
