"Buy Jordan Henderson"
😂 😂 😂
I've not been able to log in to the forum for between 9-12 months because of some weird glitch between the website and the Android app. I haven't checked on this ability for a month or so so god-alone-knows how long I've been able to log in for, all I know is I can log back in on Order Book day.
Just thought I'd say a quick "Hi" to all the newbies and see if some of the regulars from "back in the day" are still around?
I've seen @Yellow @Tom77 @Ericali @Dan-The-Man @MickTurbo and @Advinculas-Index posting already. Hope you're good lads?
Are the likes of @Misto @ScouseSte @Vespasian @Keegans-Bluff @Friedeggs @Ringers @johnboywalker @Dan-w @GregF @Le-Blanc @Ellisandro @Lukeroro @Hotspur (Basically most of the people who used to take part in the Ferret Leagues - I see most of their usernames are available to link, but doesn't mean they're active here of course)
I'm quite excited to see whom of you is still around and active, but sorry for the username spam.
Regardless of whether you're active or not, I hope you see this message and I hope you're all well and still enjoying FI-prosperity.
/Luke
@Dan-The-Man Oh Dan. Dan Dan Dan SMH
I expected better from you.
I've largely ignored the Pogba thread where you just wouldn't leave the subject of his drop alone, to the point where a lot of forum users will ignore what you say nowadays.
This thread is very biased and very mis-leading and I just had to say something. As @Fletch has very rightly said, values like this can be found for either side of the argument.
I'll put this is as simply as I can - YOU'VE DISPELLED NOTHING.
For every example of a Mahrez transfer (where it was obvious to all that he would play ALOT less at Citeh than he did at Leicester, hence a drop was ALWAYS going to happen) I can give you examples of Almiron, Brooks, Maddison or even your forum favourite Pulisic.
Almiron joined Newcastle on 31st January 2019. Looking at this 6 month graph he was around about the 80p mark. His peak (before an injury) was £1.30 towards the end of February. This morning he is £1.05.
Pulisic's deal with Chelsea was announced on 2nd January 2019. His January peak was £1.74. This morning he is £2.19. His lowest in the time between was £1.34 (not bad seeing as he spent 6 months on Dortmund's bench).
David Brooks joined Bournemouth in July 2018. Looking at his 12 month graph his price around the time of the deal was somewhere between 50p and 60p. Even ignoring the recent spike because of Man Utd rumours, he's been bouncing around between the £1.40/£1.60 mark for the past 4 months. (I know this as fact as I have held 150 since February 18th at an average of £1.43)
James Maddison joined Leicester City on 20th June 2018. His July 2018 peak was just 71p. He's been climbing pretty much ever since all the way to his very recent peak of £3.00. Ignoring the U21 hype recently, his low at the end of May was £2.19.
For every bad transfer you can find, I can find a good one. I say again - YOU'VE DISPELLED NOTHING.
Are you going to be like this every week when your IPD's aren't paid by the time you wake up @Pagey74?
I remember it was you banging the "FI is a joke" drum last time your dividends took a few hours to come through.
They have NEVER said your In-Play Dividends will be paid by X time. Have some patience.
Much like @Martyn-B I have read this thread day after day as it updates, without posting, quietly thinking to myself "thank fuck it's not just my portfolio that is decreasing" (no offence guys).
The fact soo many of us are experiencing the same thing is strangely re-assuring. I know, it's shit to be "losing money" but I bet 95% of people posting in this thread are sitting with fat profit margins so the term "losing money" shouldn't really apply. I also appreciate the point about "had I sold up last month I'd be sitting 5% better off". That's the nature of gambling though. The risk of "is that enough" doesn't just apply to individual players, but also your entire portfolio.
I'm 9 months+ into my FI journey and this September-long "downturn" has been the longest sustained dip during my entire time here. That said, I am still sitting at 45%+ profit, which is simply staggering for just 9 months. Show me somewhere else I/we can make that sort of return and I'll be all ears.
I don't have any answers for when things will improve, nor do I really understand what is going on other than bubbles in portions of the market I have absolutely 0 interest in risking my money in.
I guess I just wanted to add my name to the list of confused, but patient and optimistic forum users.
I think the big news here is that FI have done something that actually meets with @Pagey74 's approval 😂
Granted, Fred or Pulisic or whomever have made you 30% here or whatever % it was on Pulisic when you sold him and then got back in after he was taught a footballing lesson at Old Trafford. Congratulations.
Apologies. That sentence wasn't meant to sound as sarcastic/condescending as it did. As I said to you the last time we were arguing, I genuinely hope you make a fortune here on FI. I hope every member does, regardless of how annoying they are.
Shame... maybe if you had shared your incites with the community, the rest of us could have made a bob or two.
I did. I made a thread about Zaha way back before the transfer window opened and predicted that he would want a move this summer because he was reaching the "now or never" moment in his career imho. I pumped Dan James a couple of times. I even remember predicting a mid-table Premier League team would be ideal for him as a team in the Top-6 might stunt his footballing progression....now he's signed for the team I've followed since childhood, lol. The difference between me and you Dan, is I don't repeat myself 'til I'm blue in the face / my fingers are ready to drop off from all the typing.
What an arsehole I must be, to share profit making incite with the community.
It's not that you share your insights with the community that makes you, in my eyes at least, an arsehole Dan. It's the relentless, repetitive and often argumentative nature of how you do it. Lets take Henderson, for example. I remember seeing you saying something akin to "Has Jordan Henderson just become valuable" on the night the PB Matrix changes were released and I thought to myself "D'ya know what. He could see a rise off of these changes for sure. I still think players who are proven PB winners such as Toni Kroos or Lionel Messi et al will do better still, but Dan has a point for a change". I didn't reply. I was still avoiding you after our last argument. Up until maybe an hour or so ago I was still avoiding you for fear of exactly this sorta crap starting up again. Since then I simply dread to think how many times you have typed out the name Henderson. Hence me requesting that you give it a rest in my earlier reply.
To that end, your statement about "Don't like my material... stop reading it". I was ignoring you, as I said above. I was skipping past post after post of your rubbish, as I said above. It got to the point where something had to be said. It's not just me that's said it either Dan. I've seen you reply similar to other people before. Maybe you should take the advice of numerous people and tone things down a bit, rather than telling us we're the ones in the wrong for not ignoring post after post after post of yours.
@Dan-The-Man said in The Neymar drop...again!?:
What a load of rubbish Luke.
Hardly "a load of rubbish" though is it Dan? You've made more enemies on this forum with your terrible attitude, endless repetitive posts about Pulisic or Henderson or whatever other player you're pumping, than I can count on both hands. Granted, Fred or Pulisic or whomever have made you 30% here or whatever % it was on Pulisic when you sold him and then got back in after he was taught a footballing lesson at Old Trafford. Congratulations. You made money. We don't all need to read about it a gazillion times a day with you hijacking a Neymar thread to pump Jordan "boring plastic scouser" Henderson. Just buy your Hendersons and move on.
Do you see me bleating on in countless threads about the 100+% I made on Daniel James after tipping him while he was playing for Swansea against Man Citeh? Nope!
Do you see me bleating on in countless threads about the 45% I made on Wilfried Zaha? Nope!
Do you see me bleating on in countless threads about the 100+% I made on Harry Maguire? Nope!
Do you see me bleating on in countless threads about the 80+% I am currently making on Raheem Sterling? Nope!
Just give it a rest Dan!
I'll tell you what I find interesting...
The announcement went live on their Twitter account at 13:18, however today is the first day that I've logged in to see my portfolio up more than a few quid. I'm talking around about £70 up as of about 09:30am.
Was there a leak somewhere? Insider trading perhaps (FI employees telling their mates / relatives to plough in this morning before the announcement goes live)? Or just a coincidence? Personally I actually think it's one of the first two this time around. I saw in the "Seeds of Recovery" thread that Neymar, Pogba, Rashford, De Bruyne, James Maddison were all up between 9p and 5p at around 07:55am this morning (as per the Screenshot posted in that thread by @LittleFish). Takes a nice wedge of £££ to move those players by that sort of figure. Too much £££ for a coincidence, surely?
Before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm not trying to be a negative-nelly. I'm just posting something I find interesting in a thread about finding things interesting. For those who don't believe me feel free to go through my previous posts. You won't find a single one from me moaning about the recent dip we have seen. I wasn't worried. Even with my 250 Rashford's nose-diving!
@NewUser309532 calm down please. Jack Grealish really isn't worth getting worked-up over.
Thus far in this thread you've called @ChazFI123 a retard and a prick.
Totally unnecessary.
It's a Thursday afternoon. 1.5 working days left until football returns. Lets all play nice :)
@D-R-Allenballs The Goalkeeper for the Spanish national team during a European Championship year? Hhmmmm, I wonder?
The presenter on Sky Sports News right now announce that Bale's reps are talking to Spurs about going back to the club on loan. 900 shares get snapped up according the The Ticker.
LOVE the new post signature @Black-Wolf
Well played.
@Dronny-Gaz Depends what time Mr Cole rolls out of bed I suppose.
@Black-Wolf said in Well done FI, you just destroyed a good product:
A small amount of shares can move a price huge amounts now so at the most 300 shares can drop a price 40% but then buying those shares would also raise it back up 40%
THIS.
This is obvious by the price of Sancho. Someone just said earlier in this thread that he was under £10. His Buy Now is £12.59 again already.
Someone also said Mbappe was £7. His Buy Now is £9.20 again.
I have 150 Messi with an avg price of £4.95. My spreadsheet shows that I've held him since 9th July 2019. He's returned exactly £450.00 in dividends in that time. That's just over 60% return already.
My advice to anyone asking about holding Messi is BUY! He's easily been my most rewarding trade in terms of dividends during my 20 months on FI.
And anyone thinking of accusing me of pumping can keep quiet. I have every intention of keeping him for the full 3 year term.
@Martyn-B Game Rules! of course! Thank You.
These are the details you get regarding In-Play Dividends on the Academy portion of the site. You'd think a deadline would be an important thing to mention when teaching new users about IPDs huh? Afterall, that's what the Academy is for, right?
