Scored more than 5 goals in only 3 seasons and never more than 10. (In fairness, doesn't get a huge amount if minutes.)
If he was 20, maybe, but at 24 he should have done more by now.
@NewUser479511 go with your gut and take all advice with a pinch of salt. You're here because you know football so trust that knowledge. Dividends can be the safer option but there is money to be made all over the market.
You can get a "refer a friend" link for an extra tenner from either the app or email customer service for your personal code. Or shout me and I'll give you mine!
As a new trader, I suggest you read through the pinned post at the top of the forum, "All Things Football Index" as it is essentially a Users' Guide made by us.
And @Sol , I cannot wait to get a beer at 9am and sing "it's coming home" with a bunch of jubilant strangers.
I find it refreshing for a month every other year, there's a nationwide case of optimism and in 2018, genuine happiness.
@Lukeroro just my opinion, but England have no chance of winning the euros. Keep singing ‘it’s coming home’..it’s not going to happen. And in case you think I’m being racist, I’m from Chelsea and am English. Better to accept that England will never win any international competition until they hire a German manager to instill in the players real discipline.
Unsure where you might have been racist but in 2019 I can understand the premature political correctness!
It's very possible. Lessons were learnt from 2018 as you can see with the recent performances in the Nation's League, particularly vs Croatia.
I wouldn't call us favourites but with our attack, we definitely have a heavyweight puncher's chance.
Should be Messi. Or Kane. Just for the inevitable divs.
But I'm going with either Jean-Phillipe Mateta, Mainz' top scorer from last season who is back in training after being out since before this year started and has Premier League transfer links potentially for January.
Xande Silva; highly rated West Ham youngster, also returning from surgery. Had a great scoring record for the u-23s last season and was called up to West Ham's 23 man Premier League squad when Javier Hernandez left in August. Will spike when he is first involved this season and no doubt will spike when Pellegrini slings his hook.
Not done a jot for his price although yes mb win.
Personally think it should have gone to VVD not that I hold but when the hell is he going to win it if not this year🤔
I do not agree. VVD was not as worthy as Messi. A great defender for 10 years. Messi is a great player for generations to come. Messi has at least 65-70% chance of winning PB every time he plays. Each to their own. The reason why people keep selling is due to his age and his lack of game time during the summer. Has everyone forgotten his statistics this season? Not to mention he is constantly in the media. Just don’t get why you wouldn’t invest in Messi when there is a massive media and public promotion push to new potential new customers of FI. Will new comers put their money in sub 40p players or in Messi in the next 3 to 6 months?? Can’t wait for England to crash out of the Euros and then people will see their investments were ill placed. Sorry to sound negative for England’s chances. They have no chance of winning it or even making the semifinals. Let’s get real. Look at France, Spain and Germany for Gods sake...
In the last year VVD has led his club to Champions League title, Premier League runner up and his country to Nation's League runner up. Ballon D'or is the best player that specific year. Forget stats for a second, his influence and leadership on the pitch to drag a Liverpool side who look decent without him to being Champions of Europe.. that's player of the year stuff.
Also, when new traders join, will they look at a £6 player and think "I can win 8p, maybe even 16p per game", I don't think that will appeal to them. Just look at the thread where everyone lists their first buys, not many huge names in there.
However, I do agree, there's not many players better value and therefore he probably should be invested in.
As for "can't wait for England to crash out".. I can't formulate a response.
@The-FIG if you've giggled at this thread, take a look at what I've dug up!
All the best to the guy, For those that dont know this guy could start an argument, in a phone box, on his own, in the middle of the sahara desert!
If Andy was in a phone box, on his own, in the middle of the Sahara desert, somehow @Ringers would get the number and prank call him! Either that or he'd call Adam Cole personally!
I liked the guy. Wore his heart on his sleeve and his emotions on his face. Good fella. Reckon I could trust him with my deepest most personal stuff but not with a pair of scissors.
Oh, finally, minus 76 for hitting the first man with a corner. Jesus, there's no excuse. These "professionals" should be strung up for that, especially after you watch Santi Cazorla whip in gems with his left and right leg for 90 minutes.
I think everything should be raised by in the proportion, multiplied by 1.5 or even 2. Except passes. Then have forward passes acquire 3 points and sideways or backwards gain 1 point. Or something along those lines, food for thought.
Keepers get 10 points for a save (or 20 for a blocked shot, whatever that is!) They should get extra points for double and triple saves, say for a double 10+10 for the two saves, plus another 5 for the double. For a triple plus another 10 for the save and another 5 for the triple. So on and so forth.
I'd like it to be cleared up what the fuck a "successful dribble" even is. Because if I run 30 metres with the ball unchallenged, it seems that's the same as taking on 3 players and still holding the ball. For 2 points.. a take-on should be rewarded with 5/7 points.
I like the idea of points for distance covered. Say over 12k gets 15 extra points. Similarly over 40 sprints, as those short bursts are just as tough and should also he rewarded.
Sorry if these have been mentioned, I couldn't read the whole thread.
Status quo this year boys, Real, Bayern, Barca, Juve, English teams and PSG.
@Moukoko I find it strange that I've seen in various places he's back between end of October and mid November and there's nothing about either him returning or a setback to the lay off. Clearly I'm pretty invested.
What do you think are the chances of a January move?
And I'm waiting for a post injury spike but is it worth holding after?
