Held Pogba from very early days. Topping up along the way. He is my first and only 100% div returner. No one else even close. FI Legend. He was my first success story on here and hopefully he'll continue to keep on giving.

RE: Targets for this season?
Since I started recording 20 months ago i've been achieving around 7% capital growth per month on average. I aim for 5% a month and believe this will be achievable for a good while to come. So that's at least 60% before taking into account compounding. I think we're in good shape guys.
Feb 16 for me. Still see a lot of old names in here but there are also several regular posters from the past that have disappeared, from the Forum at least.
@Leighton In terms of 3 year holds, at an FI meet well over a year ago Adam Cole told us that almost no share is actually held for 3 years. He also stated that the few that had would be extended for a year. I don't recall any official news on this but I know FI are keen to have notifications in place for share expiry so I suspect they will delay any 'ending of shares' until they have this in place.
Oh and I too intend to be sticking around for many years to come.
RE: Managing a port for someone else
I've done it for friends and family for months, all money in my portfolio as more than one may break the rules and would also be a pain in the arse to manage.
I personally prefer to offer them very healthy guaranteed interest rates and keep any additional profit for myself. I would do it with more if I had richer friends. Of course there are elements of risk but I am very comfortable with it.
Go for it buddy.
RE: What are your targets on here?
A bit late on this thread (and apologies for length) but thought I'd throw my story in as I too dream like @ericali as I've posted previously on the forum.
I started in Feb 2016 and like most of you, £200 initial deposit then £300, then £500 etc as I gained more confidence. Always been a huge fan of gambling, Poker, Betfair trading, Football Manager, Fantasy Football, stocks and shares (but didn't know how to do it). Basically discovered FI and thought it combines most the things I love in life and never looked back.
I have recorded every days balance and divs since the start of 2018 and also predict my future path based on that.
Current Portfolio: £165,000
Net deposits: £61,000
Average monthly portfolio growth excluding deposits (last 18 months): 6.86%
Average dividends: 11% a year. Admittedly constantly reducing due to capital growth (not complaining, now closer to 6%)
Target monthly capital growth: 5%
Target annual divs: 7%
If FI continues at similar rates I will be able to earn £2,000 a month dividends by March 2021 (more than enough for me to live on) and the portfolio would be £1 Million by November 2022. I don't see why FI can't continue going from strength to strength. There are more and more new members, people creating content, podcasts, magazines, blogs etc. Potential expansion abroad, general improvement of the product, future dividend rises and share splits. Who knows?
I am 33 now and my dream would be to travel around watching football in stadiums across the world and write about it (see post signature) I'd love to be able to answer the question 'What do you do?' with 'Full Time Football Index Trader'. Probably easier to explain to foreigners than Quantity Surveyor.
Above all, this has increased my knowledge and love of football more than ever and been lucky enough to drag a few friends along on the journey. I love the community feel of FI but just wish there were more meet ups for real life beer and FI discussions.
Feel free to check out my blog below. Latest adventure being the Copa America in Brazil where i was lucky enough to watch 7 games.
Good luck on your journey and hopefully we are all still considered early adopters. Let's dream big, anything is possible (including FI going bust but let's not think about that :-P)
RE: Injured Players
I can't believe no one has mentioned this one. Injuries and suspensions for all the PB Leagues and more. Enjoy.
RE: Neres -34p
This is the beauty of FI and the beauty of CL. I bought last year as he looked a good player and then sold as he made no headway price wise. He is currently the 11th highest rated Ajax player on Whoscored.com this season.
His best moments were in the biggest games and obviously has talent which caused huge rises whereas Ziyech has been their main man all season and maybe he will hold firmer.
Admittedly I don't watch Ajax every week but form most of my opinions from stats throughout the year.
Overall, if you perform in the limelight however briefly you will get huge rises and bigger drops.
RE: DE LIGT
I'm out, bought 1200 at 41p and sold them all to market within minutes at £2.90. I did a quick comparison with all other top defenders on the index and just can't see him holding his price past the CL and any transfer confirmation. But who knows. Good luck to all either way.
RE: Super impressed with Adam Cole
It just made me laugh if i'm honest, his first comment was pretty funny, second one was a bit OTT. I'll downvote his second comment to take the edge of it for you.
Don't let it bother you buddy, it's all fun and games.
Manchester - Pub Trader Meet
My favourite thing about the 2 London Trader meets I have attended is the social element of chatting about FI to other enthusiasts.
I know FI is a London centric product which I have no qualms with but sometimes I just want a beer and an FI discussion. The plan would be to simply find the corner of an old man pub, sink a few ales and discover the next Mason Greenwood. Could also be a great opportunity to bring along friends who are on the fence of the product to promote and grow FI organically. No reason this can't become a monthly thing, particularly in the lonely, desolate summer months.
Anyone local and interested then pop your hand in the air and we'll see where it goes. If it works then it'd be great to see similar meets for different places.
First round is on me.
RE: ⚽️🏆🌎✌️FIFA World Cup (Football Index Ferret Association) World Cup
Fuck sake, was that not the point of the competition!? Spunked a load of money up the wall ISing to achieve that.
Did someone mention a Wooden Spoon award? :-P
RE: How many players in your portfolio?
£51,647 net deposits
Started Feb 16'
Again I go very long term but also like to trade and dabble in G&A just for a little in game entertainment. Overall I bloody love FI and spend a huge amount of time thinking about it and checking it, researching players, reading every post on the forum (very difficult last couple of months). Very optimistic for the future of FI.
RE: Losing that loving feeling
Evening all. Interesting thread so thought i'd have a rare ramble. Apologies for post length.
Surely throughout January everybody saw this coming??? Is anyone really surprised by the fact there has been a few weeks of stagnation. Growth throughout January was incredible, like many others my average daily portfolio increase was 0.3% for the first 36 days of the year, this is not sustainable. Since then it has been a fifth of that per day but still growth. Admittedly big drops the last 2 days though. Of course this is all going to have a psychological affect and be less entertaining. If you get £50 growth every day then log on to see £10 it makes sense it's not as fun, God forbid an actual drop in portfolio.
Re the share split date, I agree with @Shippers, why the rush? I always believe periods of stagnation/people taking profit are logical and necessary. This gives old and new users (I hate this general term and how they are blamed for everything supposedly illogical) alike a chance to reassess their portfolio after the crazy growth, cash in on the players who have maybe shot too far in relation to dividend potential, VJ, Dembele, Joao Felix etc. People complain about logic in the market, this pull back/slow down IS logic. In terms of the date being misguided @Wotabeast, I think they have been wise waiting, it's not as if there is a share split button waiting to be pushed, they need to get everything in place to make it seemless and perfect and have wisely given themselves time to do that. Next Feb no one will be talking about the time it took to implement share split but if they fuck it up rushing then it would cause a loss of confidence in their capabilities.
Agree with all, it would be amazing if FI increase dividends, it will add confidence that they are making money, it surely has to happen. Hopefully your time is now @HappyLarry59855
Agreed with @Advinculas-Index, lots of people are learning the game, following trends, working out a strategy, other users are cashing in on these trends and amplifying them. In general though, I would say the direction of movement is generally logical but sometimes it over shoots or drops too far, that is the nature of a market, especially one growing as fast as FI has been.
Re IPD, I think it gives an added interest at the bottom of the market, the consensus is that it isn't worth it over a certain value of player so volatility is not an issue for the higher value players. I feel it is very easy to ignore if you don't like it and great to enjoy if you do like it, everyone's a winner surely.
@Metropolis_山の中の市 I have to strongly disagree on needing deposit bonuses (I appreciate you only briefly touched on this). 3 in 4 months was overkill, it should not be required to stimulate a market, it's causes artificial growth followed by pullbacks and periods of people withdrawing and holding back future deposits while they await the next bonus, I actually believe the huge December/January growth was kickstarted by the announcement of no Christmas deposit bonus, people released funds and off we went.
Overall, sit tight, be patient, adjust portfolio, take a breather if needed, come back refreshed and enjoy the share split when people start to reinvest.
RE: Support test for a World cup knock out Advinculas forum game.
Sounds good to me. Count me in.
FI TV - Total Dividend payout this season
Well worth a watch, some interesting numbers that we don't otherwise have access to. I'm sure there are some number crunchers that can do some interesting analysis on these stats as well. I cant help imagining commission massively outweighs these numbers. Great news for long term health of the index if correct.
