I wish tomorrow was 1st Sept mate
All the leagues on the go, CL and EL early rounds, possibility of some National friendlies, and of course GK PB and the hopeful icing on the cake.....full order books.
The big factor for me isn't that they are cheap (although that obv helps) but the fact that on a Tues or Weds night with only 3 or 4 games its a 1 in 6 or 1 in 8 chance of winning PB with a keeper rather than 1 in 32 for a Mid.
Maybe pennies, but for a lot of keepers that's 2% return...in a week.
The CL ban must be playing a part.
Greenwood is the next big thing, but looks very likely to have some kind of European football next season.
With MOTM coming in, and the multiplier for EL/CL games, IF City's ban is not overturned there is less value.
@Mintyfresh Pick the market up??
We have just had the announcement that was supposed to kick the market onto the next level and beyond!! 72 hours after it the index is on the floor with massive spreads and mostly a falling market with most players listed in the hope some poor newbie buys at market price .
It’s a mess !!
It’s a buyers paradise but unless some balance is restored to the market people will leave . Not sure other than bringing in sell orders to close the spreads what else AC can do . Because this dividend announcement , team of the month etc etc has had a very negative effect .
well, they could increase the minimum amount that people can offer to buy shares for, make it more in line with the old IS price.
That way there's a way out for people who want to sell, and still a chepaer than market option for buyers.
70/80% of market price shouldn't be ridiculous. Sellers take a 30% hit, and someone prepared to punt still saves 30% so surely its win win (or near as we'll get).
I get everyone (including me) wants a bargain, but some of the offer prices are akin to a pay day loan shark knocking on doors offering 130% loans to the vulnerable.
@Baydog Can't see that 2nd option happening, FI want you buying players from them as its money straight into their account.
Buy from me instead and all they see is 2% not 100%
@Dan-The-Man @ScouseSte i agree with Dan on this one. It’s a good letter but cheap shots like “you don’t know your own product” is only going to get ppls backs up. Particularly as they are dealing with intricacies and algorithms in the Index we could only dream of. They do this 24/7. They know their product. But they defo need to improve amateurish communication errors when there’s so much money involved.
some might say AC tweeting 'can't wait to give you the update and then 3 Rockets was a blatant attempt to hype up the dividend review to get as much money invested as possible. He then backtracks a week later, after tens of thouands (likely much more) has been invested
If the CEO of Barclays was tweeting 'business is booming, great year' 10 days before their annual results were due there would be outrage.
Imagine how much the TOTM will come into people's thinking for the Euro's. With no other football on player values are going to shoot up come the end the season.
only 11 months to wait and see the rise in that Swiss player. Result
Adding GK was completely, Completely a crap move by FI led by greed, NOT looking after the customer or because we asked for it on a survey, ALL about increasing the amount of £ in GK's.
What we needed was a rise in PB (small is okay) a decent rise in Star Player and MB, and then add in a 2nd place PB payout alongside that small rise in 1st place PB.
That would have still given value to big names, but made a Lot more players worth looking at and investing in.
Instead FI moved the goalposts (again) but this time made sure the GK were between them when they did it.
They had the chance to blow FS etc out of the water but instead killed 70% of the market
Not sure overall, but the GK part doesn't seem well thought out, apart from FI wanting more than the 500K that WAS invested in them increased...which has happened.
On a day with 6 games, thats 12 keepers in action. Realistically, 4 of those will be in teams that leak goals and have no chance. Another 4 in teams expected to lose. That leaves a 1 in 4 chance of bagging the GK Div.
Already seen days when Chelsea and Real are the only big names playing and up against smaller sides. Great chance of Divs.
But how does it help the top end ? Is one Greenwood worth 20 Courtois ?
@Baydog It's purely because prior to this week there was 500k in keepers in the Index,
Tonight has seen massive sums go into them
And at some stage they will all be sold and that 2% commission goes K'ching
Just how many people were insistant on keepers having their own group compared to a higher rise on MB or Star Player ?
That's the real question
As for the survey we completed asking for this....all depends how you phrase the question
