Locatelli on loan at Sassuolo. Left Milan to get regular game time, classy player and joined a progressive club who will have a good season . Think they can make top 8 this season, he will be a shining light in their midfield , before possibly heading back to Milan or joining a good club for decent money. Currently available at £.1.05, be disappointed if he is not £2.00 area come end of season

@gloryhornet88 yeah agree on Tielmans. I bought a few at 2.07 and although gone down, it’s only a matter of time before this rises up to £2-.50-£2.75 area before a big money move.
I think Ankanji at 1.35 is very cheap too. Impressive defender who is still young, think Dortmund will do well under Favre and quite a bit of scope in his current price
RE: Mariano Diaz
@metropolis yeah I would say this is fairly accurate description for him. He is hard working and mobile, will press and has more urgency about him than Benzema. Having said that, I think of him as more of a goal poacher more than anything else. If you had watched him against Reims a couple of weeks back, you wouldn’t pay £1million let alone £33 million, but it was likely just one bad game. I’m not sure I seen him being a good investment on here, I suspect this is a deal that Lyon are reasonably happy with too.
I think he can get up towards £5.00 area. For starters, the English media are a little fascinated by him meaning he is likely to appear in media buzz. Secondly, the lad is still improving. I don’t think last season was a fluke and in City’a games this season he has looked a real threat. Some of his running from deep is very intelligent and he seems to becoming a real focal point of their attack. Stories around the new contract/transfers are likely gonna run for a while too. I think their is a bit of juice still in current price
RE: Potential breakouts for the season? (PL)
@Oliver-P the worry with Pereira is the manager and young players. He loves Matic so he is a certain starter when fit. He just forked out £50 million plus on Fred so he gonna get a fair crack. Then as much as JM would love to leave Pogba out, he knows he can’t really. Pererirais gonna have to be very special to get game time, if not then he risks becoming a political youth player pawn for JM to justify how great he is, but like Mctominay last season . JM was bigging him up no end, yet here he is with two new players in his way!
RE: Cheap Players
Always thought Edimilson Fernandes has something to his game when at West Ham, now joined Fiorentina on loan and I think the slower, more tactical pace could suit him more and he may start to show his quality. At 0.63 he could improve that up to around £0.95 mark by end of the season.
RE: Potential breakouts for the season? (PL)
The market has not missed him, but James Maddison still value I think. Be surprised if he stays at Leicester any longer than 2 seasons, before he joins one of the big PL teams for excess of £50 million. He is constantly looking to play in between the lines, is very skilful and will create and score goals. His game is ahead of similar English talents in Barkley, Loftus Cheek etc
The Wolves striker Jimenez who is on loan looked lively and perfect for PL football against Everton, I think he could have a breakthrough season before a big money move, possibly in the summer.
RE: Portfolio Structure
I have only been on here for two weeks and have a portfolio of 14 players. I am weighing up whether to increase this further, but favouring reducing my portfolio down to about 8 players but with more futures invested in them.
I am still in two minds about which way to go, I favour the more shares and less players as I think that will produce the more worthwhile gains in the long run. Portfolio value is around £250 but looking to invest another £250 on top, the smaller gains spread across more players is fun, but I don't think it will see the nice returns. Any thoughts from others around this would be much appreciated.
RE: Advice for newbie
Thanks for the comments guys. I think the key is backing your judgement on a players value growing over time and not be too influenced by short term rise and falls.
An open ended question as I guess people have their own strategies, but I have been focusing on players who are a little more under the radar, as such it means I wont/haven't really be earning any dividends from these players. On dividends, my early thoughts are that it is likely the most famous players who will earn these dividends but at the same time their scope for growth is maybe less obvious. Is this a fair basic assessment ?
