I wouldn't push FI on anyone. Yes I've told friends and family what I'm doing, and leave it at that. The last thing you want is a fallout with one of your family for losing them money. Because most of us on here are doing reasonably well, we're in a bit of a bubble, and doesn't mean your closest will trade like you do. Most of your profit is someone else's loss. Money has no friends.

RE: Tonights trader event
Saying the only way FI will collapse is if UK banned betting :)
Website is https://beta.footballindex.co.uk. Same login
Old site will stay for a couple of months.
Can search by team or country.
Can see what % of people are on each player. that's interesting. Oh I made a mistake there, the %'s are 24hr profit/loss.
Order books will show what prices of sell and buy there are, as in a visual queue. Not sure if that's live yet as I can't find it?
No movement on IPO's in that you still won't know what price you're buying at. I asked if there would be a limit on IPO futures bought, as they're hinting that there may be some small changes to higher quantities on general selling and buying.
Also mentioned the forum disquiet about suspected bots, they are saying they are monitoring the situation, and that captcha boxes might slow the system. But It's possible as I've aired it, that they may start thinking about solutions. They didn't confirm or deny.bots.
New website allows portfolio sorting same as app.
Hour and a half slideshow and Q&A's.
One free drink and nibbles. Branded bag with T shirt.
Adam Cole stayed to socialize. Very nice guy and a great team behind him from some top previous gambling companies who just love the concept as much as we do.
Great evening, very friendly people.
RE: The index is changing ... have you?
We came here for the intrigue of owning players.
We came here for the intrigue of football gambling without losing your bet.
We came here because the ROI is 10 times better and more.
We came here because making money was like sitting in a tin of sweets, goodies.everywhere.
We are here because there is still silly money coming into the market.
We are here because if markets open up across the world, there will be more silly money coming in.
We are all realizing that things are changing along the way.
Some of us have adapted and become more flexible.
Some of us are wondering, do we, or should we change too.
I would like to believe that as FI is still in infancy, it keeps a close ear on the trader pulse, and would not want to see money flowing out, and seems to have a knack of doing just enough to keep market confidence.
I am only a small investor, and have no primary interest in dividends. But I trade on the fact that that there will always be a belief that research and football knowledge can find the next PB gods at sub 50p. Thus driving Cap App.
My money is still better off here, and I haven't reached a point where it feels like really hard work, as in stocks and shares. I appreciate that for big traders, big portfolios are necessary to spread big money around on cheaper players. We complained at the time of there being no interest in 90% of the player pool or so, and we got IPD's.
I am monitoring the general direction as well, but PB dividends have to be relevant to price, and always the driving force.
I suppose it boils down to, what minimum ROI do you want for your time input and risk? And where are you now with that, under or over?
RE: Your Worst HOLD
The Ferret. After watching a fake photoshopped video, and the promise he would be £1 by Xmas.
Shame on everyone who promoted this outrageous proganda to take advantage of vulnerable seniors.
In Texas this is punishable by life imprisonment, as several travellers have found to their cost.
Should the Forum be more prominently displayed in the headline Menu?
It's currently lost in the "More" dropdown menu. I suggest it should replace the "Watchlist" so that new users can see it clearly. There's been regular chat here about new users being manipulated and conned on Twitter etc. It's quite possible it takes a long time to know there is a forum, and by that time they've been fleeced and left..
Where do you stand on this? That you want new users to stay with forum help, or that they fund our profits and tough?
I have sent feedback about it. If you agree, please do the same to bring it up the attention list.
RE: The Football Index Forum Awards 2018-19
@Lukeroro I remember not too long ago, that everyone was continuously complaining about this forum setup - no stickies - no moderation - no sorting of repeat posts - no sorting of common threads - numerous one player pump threads - no polls.
And all you've got so far, thanks to Misto is one sticky.
So I did something about it, I made an alternative forum that has all the above and more. And I'm silently disliked for it, by a few on here for creating something better. Each to their own, because I'm not bothered at all, and I belong to both!!. Like I've said before, how many actual football supporters on here, belong to one or more footy forums, or other FI Twitter accounts? How many footy supporters use the their offy club forum, no, they use the independent ones that are better run. And anyway, don't forget tomorrow's competition game :)
RE: MikeB strongly implies dividend increase
@dannypea I spoke to Mike and Adam afterwords and Mike apologized that there wasn’t enough time for Q&A because of transmission problems.
But he reiterated that your question was a really good one and that nobody had considered the implications of the split. So they are going to have a conference on it as its that important.
He said the bottom line was, that they would try and come up with a solution that would keep everyone happy, and possibly that they would be classed as new shares. Really nice positive people.
Plenty of drink there, and lots of food, I have to say I stuffed myself because I was sitting on top of the table where it was all laid out.
In the raffle there was a signed Ronaldo ball and one of Gareth Bales boots both in plastic presentation cases. A great night, small bar but packed out.
RE: 🚨 FIG interviews🚨 I did a written Q&A with EJ, who I believe has the largest portfolio on FI! Have a read :D
This is not audio, it's a Q&A in text. Please read it guys. It's the best summary so far of FI, and what's right and wrong with it. Read his views on the S-S and G&A, it's hard to disagree.

RE: Know your place in the queue
@R9inter Look at the price drop in pence since the new IS rates were imposed. Someone else may know the date.that started. 25th March?
So Willem Geubbels has dropped 6p since 25th April. As there is no instant sell now, the price drop is the result of shares being listed. 6p x 600 or 900 shares equals how many are now in the sell queue.
RE: 🚨BLOG POST🚨 The PB Matrix Reloaded By ASP & LuaLua
What they're saying, is what you see on the pitch still needs a lot of work to translate into meaningful PB scores. (That some winners come across as head-scratchers). And that the matrix needs rebuilding from a new solid base, instead of further tweaking on an existing weaker base. They've passed it on to FI towers.
Interesting stats wherever they came from, that of 600k signed up, 400k looked and left, 150k tried a while and left, 50k are still here.
RE: Does the introduction of the order book mean futures in circulation will have to be capped?
You could reasonably expect that FI always get the critical things right that would make or break it
