RE: Investing in players over £4?
Agree with this. It’s all about the strategy you employ. I’ve always been a long term holder, so as disappointing as some of the recent drops are, I’ve seen it all before and maybe players like pogba won’t reach their dizzy heights of yesteryear, but by holding for 2 years now, his dividend returns are triple the overall price paid for the shares. The best one is Messi, I have x100 shares at £2.50 and he has returned over £750 in dividends over the two years I’ve held him, so regardless of capital appreciation or dips in market he has already given back way more than I put in.
With regards to current trends, there is value in lower end players and I have made a few investments recently too, leading to an even more diversified portfolio. However with this approach be prepared to have more hits and misses and be more proactive with buy/sells at right time. Definitely adds interest to platform and a bit more volatility.
Best of luck to all fellow traders and best advice is not to panic when you see some red, think the platform is on the way down and sell. Stock markets always have high and lows, and just like stock markets you can try and play them with low buys and high sells, or you can trust in the growth that the platform will continue to do and that inevitably prices will stabilise and rise long term.
Best wishes and a good trading weekend!
RE: Under 20p Under 25 years old
Thanks for the extra research, have updated my portfolio....
Binned off barrios, roland but kept faith with the rest. Lerma is a great shout if he is still around the 29p mark.
Don’t know why but have a feeling about sylla and xadas- anyone know why xadas didn’t play last braga game?
RE: Under 20p Under 25 years old
Just for fun has anyone got any good suggestions for bargain basement players with age on their side?
I did some research on a range of players today and whittled down a long list to about 10 players who are either up and coming, or have the possibility of a price rise based on match day performance. There are also a couple that might make a move soon so chance of profit there too. I got on some of the advised players, such as carles Gil, obrimen and nwokwonko. In addition to this I got....
Luca pelligrini, roma youngster on loan at Cagliari for about 60p
Bruno xadas, highly rated attacking midfielder from braga for about 30p
Lemos, young la Liga centre back at 18p
Teodorczyk, experienced Udinese midfielder at 19p
Barrios, DM in Zenit, young with chance of a move
Sergio Gomez, ex barca product at Dortmund on loan at huesca, long term hold, 19yrs old at 90p
Diego Rolan, 28yr old striker in la Liga for about 15p a share
Let me know your thoughts!
How many players do you have in your portfolio and what is your average number of dividends?
Been here a couple of years and have been happy with how the index has come along, just curious as a first post to see how others have found it? I have 88 players so far with an average hold of 100 shares, making £5-10 in dividends per day. Would love to hear others share their experience and thoughts 👍

RE: Newbie Alert
I agree, it’s a case of diversifying and having the knowledge/faith to stick with a strategy. Investing in top players is sensible, but only if you believe there is still growth in them now or even post share split. I got in on vinicius junior at £3.50 and got out at £8.40 a share, as I thought he was overvalued for someone who wasn’t getting much game time and may be overshadowed by Rodrigo when he arrives. In addition to this I look at players like asensio who is young with great technique and pedigree, just in a bit of a dip of form at the moment but for half the price, which feels like a more suitable choice for me. There are people that complain that too many top players are too expensive now, but then I look at griezmann and see how affordable he is for a top player. I look at morata and lacazette and aubameyang and see huge value in these players. Morata can only go up in price after his dreadful time at Chelsea and a fresh start in Atlético. In summary, it’s about seeing the right players who you think are underpriced and have potential growth as the platform grows. I have been trading for nearly two years now and have always had a long term view with occasional sales, just recently hit 100% ROI. Good luck traders and keep up the positive message of a game changing trading platform!
