    • A few stats

Thought i'd post a few stats here, as we hit year end. These are from the start of IPOs (1/11) to 30/12.

      Media Buzz:

      Most wins - Neymar 8, Ronaldo 7, Pogba 7, Lukaku 6, Salah 5, Hazard 5
      Highest scores - Van Dijk 2670/2350 & Ronaldo 2190
Lowest winning score - Ronaldo 360

      Match day player/performance buzz:

      Defenders:
      Most wins - Otamendi 3, Alexander-Arnold 2, Mustafi 2, Rudiger 2
      Highest scores - Alexander-Arnold 255, Sidibe 255, Rudiger 250
Lowest winning score - Sirigu 115

      Midfielders:
      Most wins - Coutinho 2, Parejo 2, Gomez 2
      Highest scores - Perisic 342, Silva 319, Coutinho 307
Lowest winning score - Shaqiri 78

      Forwards:
      Most wins - Fekir 3, Neymar 3, Salah 2, Verdi 2, El Haddedi 2, Petersen 2, Kane 2
      Highest scores - Rooney 294, Neymar 289, Kane 285
Lowest winning scores - Unal -14(!), Haddedi 26

Quality is beginning to shine through, though Fekir/Neymar/Salah did have most of their PB wins at the start of the IPOs.

The stats are available elsewhere but hope this helps. Any additions are welcome!

Just bought 27 Rakatic because I drank too much wine. Meant to buy some Moses too.

    • RE: Goalies are moving...??

@Agatello "Football Index is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient" Warren Buffett (maybe) - we've got three years for this goalie trade to come in!

    • RE: Gareth Bale

I think so - it was only a few months ago he was having his spec-tac-u-lar CL final.

He's going to carry on having games like that for a few years yet ...

@Agatello i've enjoyed joining the Vitolo train following the posts here! costa back to £4 for me. i reckon the old guard - costa, suarez, cavani are under-valued. rises due from Jan through to WC

@Agatello In that light a Costa/Vitolo double could be the trade of Jan!

    • RE: Confused!

You can trade any time - things are slightly different today because of the share splits - otherwise things would be quiet because it's post-england and no PL games etc. It's worth being patient & getting a feel for things, especially with when the busy league days are back

    • RE: Leverkusen--brandt/havertz

4% interest on an investment is pretty good isn't it? Same as decent shares, better than money in a bank, & interest rates aren't likely to rise. Then there's player price rises on top - which is down to individual choices. Plus football is a proven product; unlike coins, & coins were all about price rises. I'd rather own a Peter Crouch share than a Kanye West coin. Plus the whole thing is fun anyway.

    • RE: Denis Suarez

The Arsenal squad is really average & Ramsey/Ozil, prob the most talented and interesting players are being frozen out - I think, sadly, it's a squad to avoid in general now. Similarly with Chelsea. Might as well buy Liverpool/Man U/talented youngsters in the PL and be done with it

I'd just like to remind the world Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet, walked past the British Library without patenting it, then gave it away for free. In no way could this be characterised as "nice but dim".

      Actually, on second thoughts ...
