Saw this earlier and think it shows who are vaule and who in fi terms are not as good of a hold as people think
Its based on this season so far
Ive just made 11 pound off it(big money i know)
Bought him yesterday for a year long hold as i fort he would be a good buy as he could be next season mings so fort hed be a good buy.
Happy i was on my phone at the time he went
26p to 41p
41p to 28p
28p to 37p
37p to 28p again and now at 35p atm
I saw what was happing so sold at 37p with about 6 pound profit and put it all back on when he droped again then sold up again when he went back up.
Still think hes a good buy if he drops back dow to 28p lol
@Dan-The-Man if he has an offer in why run away if he clearly has some kind of interest in buying the player. Why bother tying money up in bids at all if you dont really want them to get matched. People bidding just now are ripping the pish because they know that they have full control. Once the seller is able to say what he would want then someone in amongst the bidders is going to try get a deal as low as a seller is willing to go. Reducing your bid further is counter productive and just like constantly jumping out of the queue to join back in at the back.
Sequence of Events:
- Seller 1 Lists Player X for sale at £1
- Buyer 1 Bids 50p.
- Seller 1 Relists at 75p.
- Buyer 1 can't get it for 50p so walks away, bids on something else.
- Buyer 2 see's Player X listed at 75p, bids 30p.
The owners of Player X, enter full blown panic mode given that the lowest offer for their player is just 30p and some loon has dropped down to 75p.
- Seller 2 Lists at 70p
- Seller 3 Lists at 65p
- Seller 4 Lists at 62p
- Seller 5 Lists at 60p
Buyer 2, isn't prepared to pay double his bid, especially as he's seeing Player X's price drop before his eyes, so walks away.
- Buyer 3 see's the £1 player listed at 60p, bids 50p
- Seller 5, tries to split the difference, relists at 55p
- Buyer 3 agrees... the £1 player just sold for 55p.
You've sold your £1 player for 55p... are you really going to reinvest that 55p?
This is probably the nightmare scenario but it closes the spread slightly, so I'd imagine this is the kind of scenario you're thinking might happen, I just don't see why Buyer 3 would meet in the middle, knowing that when the time comes for him to get out, he's going to be in a similar position, not to mention the 4% fee for buy/sell.
Either way, thanks for trying to explain it. I'll be sticking around to see how it works out... largely because selling players is almost impossible, so at least I'll get to see how it plays out.
On the other side of the coin someone else may see a £1 player go up for sale at 70p and bite your hand of for him
Also there you are only looking at players who will have no demand
That 1 pound young pb player is on course for his first on win of the season
, no one is gunna sell him cheap and people want to jump on,
Then people will be buying from either traders at a price there happy to sell or market buy him from fi
The days of just market selling a player in a week when u fancied it are gone
You need your asset to give people a reason to buy
Players who play poorly will have little demand
Players who play well will have demand
In football players go in and out of form all the time so timing is key and not getting greedy
No your not thinking about it properly
If a players is 1 pound and rises to 1.50 then that means people are market buying so there is loads of opportunitys to sell to market on the way up, almost like ake was before the city move
If your greedy and hold on to long that is were you could get burnt and have to sell for less that market vaule if demand drys up
Still buy low sell high
Who are your highest hopes for next season in all top 5 leagues who you reckon will rise the most % and 3 from outside for each position (apart from shitty keepers 😂) mine are as follows
Hoping for a few 100 percent player there
He is saying fi made his players vaule less yet wont accept that the is price as he sees it as losing that green profit figure but he needs to understand that's already gone.
I've sold some players I can't see going back up in a vaule at 30-20% loss as they were not worth holding anymore without is as back up and I would probably never get market vaule in them so holding out is pointless and recovered my money with players with vaule
If he sees an opportunity to make some money with them dead holds he Shud is and go make some money but he choosing not to and holding onto the fact some worthless holds might have worth again and that upto him as a trader now not worth moaning about fi as it's done now
If your to stubbon to is at a loss almost knowing your never get good price for them then your only doing yourself a diservice
@Tom77 deffo, most people who have been stung since Feb is the ones who picked up cheap players with no real vaule just knowing they will grow with the platform. I had 1 or 2 myself but it's gunna be a lot more short term ups and downs now in all players
Can't see me holding on to any player when the are flying up because as soon as that demand drys up people think there not good vaule anymore because the spreads ain't tight so they sell cheap
Look at kdb up over 40p in a month(10percent) and now you can get him cheaper than u did at the start of the month
@Black-Wolf cheers leaving goal keepers out was a bit tongue in cheek, as most will still rise more
@MickTurbo always look at ceballos but always something that stop me investing ( correctly so, so far but cud easily rise)
@Vaughany if Bowen starts well and gets links with bigger clubs(man utd) cud have a grealish kind of rise
@NewUser731 how does this work for fi tho, if say a 70p keeper earns u 4 clean sheets 8p and then u sell him for 70p they only earn 2 %commision when u sell which is 1 or 2p so they need a keeper not to get a clean sheet so they would lose almost every time
They are not go it do that
This is why I like looking at the forum good points made...
I've been tempted to sell depay all week because of links away but diddnt because he's such a great hold at Lyon but even if he does move he does have pb potential still and deffo does with Holland
I really don't see why people moan about someone being so cheap who they hold who they believe are vaule, surley you should be bidding at that in price to buy more as you clearly think he is better vaule that 60 off pence
Or you don't think he is vaule and you wanna sell and the current is price is not what u want and you have come to vent your furstation
