    • RE: Kroos Pb beast

@Ericali said in Kroos Pb beast:

Kroos is also 30 & we all know how football index reacts to players who hit this milestone.

      They get jittery.

If doesn't matter if you win capital appreciation or dividends. If Kroos (£4.50) stays at his current price & wins 40p in dividends by the Euro's what's the difference in Kane (£5.67) winning the same amount or more in capital appreciation come the Euro's?

Every man & his dog knows Kane will be at least £6.50 by the summer.

We don't know what price Kroos will be.

      So why gamble?

Dividends can be reinvested instantly in other shares - giving more opportunity to win more dividends - rinse and repeat.

CA however, you need to sell some/all shares to release funds, losing dividend opportunities.

      Big Difference.

    • RE: The Index is Starting to Rise

Yip, it's all good just now. Finally breached the 1k mark in profit (12k invested start of Oct, 1k bonus money withdrawn ). Set myself a target of £5 per day, which would be 15% ROI - very low I know but as many know, I don't do risk! Currently averaging £13 per day which would be 40% ROI. If i manage to get 20% + I'll be a happy man.

    • RE: Bruno Fernandes

He'll sign, I'm 99% sure of it. I hope it does drag on to the final day of the transfer window as it guarantees a bucked load of MB. Couldn't care less if he drops in value in the meantime, he will be a £5 player when he posts his first 200+ PB score in the Prem.

Already been 3 days of divs already in a row (9p total), looks nailed on already for the 5p today and with the way its dragging on I can see him clearing up all week. I recon by Friday he'll have purchased me over 20 Marco Verratti's. That is why divs matter, and why I hope it drags on for as long as possible.

    • RE: We’re all seeking Value - What’s your technique?

There seems to be some real push back on this forum when people try to logically explain why the lower end has, on a very large % of players, no "real" value. I can only assume that is because people have a very specific agenda to push in the hope the sheep follow and buy their penny stocks.

To repeat, as it seems some are not able to read and digest, as I have said on MULTIPLE occasions now, of course there is real dividend potential in some - and by dividend potential I mean regular dividends, not 1/2/3 a career - but that some is a small %. If somebody can convince me with actual facts and not just "they will rise anyways" then I will admit the error of my ways. But the reason that they are rising is people will buy anyone on here without thinking about dividend earning potential - and at some point huge amount of people on here will be left with huge amounts of shares at a massive loss - MY strategy, which is what this thread is about, is to ensure I am not one of those people. Simple.

As for Depay, yes he has tanked. But in 6 months he will be back above his previous high as HE WINS DIVIDENDS, everyone is in agreement there.

    • RE: 5% Bonus on net Buys Xmas trading bonus

Lot of folk complaining, wind yer necks in ffs. I put 1k at the end of the summer bonus (when I first joined) and put 10k in in the last 10% bonus (withdrew the 1k bonus). I've not had any of the recent offers and frankly don't care, they are trying this and that out which is good - I might not get a 5% bonus but my port is up 2.5% in 7 days.

Not happy - sell your port and walk away. However, you wont, as nothing else can compare in the little risk/high reward out there.

    • RE: Why is Messi dropping ?

What an absurd comparison to Make @Dan-The-Man .

Here's an idea, now you don't have hindsight of your "great" trade. Go pick all the other players that were the same price as Moutinho when you purchased him, and do the same calculation. I'm sure Messi will come out trumps more often than not? Just because it worked once, doesnt mean it always will. Moutinho worked out well, but was a massive risk. Messi was not/is not a risk - and I say that as someone who has just sold him.

    • RE: All aboard the Messi train - The Future King of FI

It's why owning the big boys is key. I've held Messi since the start of the bonus, purchased 150 @ £5.19 a share. The pure numptiness of FI at the moment has his price today at £5.16. Boo-hoo, I've lost 3p per share.....oh wait, he has returned 13p in dividends already (albeit, this rate will lesson greatly after the IPD period ends) taking his price down to £5.06 a share already. That's not even counting the 10% bonus I'll get, plus the 5% I'll get from spending ALL THOSE DIVIDENDS.

Expensive players are expensive for a reason - continued dividends, not the odd fluke here and there.

    • RE: The index is changing ... have you?

@Andy point being, these people doing this won't do it forever, they will only get their hands burnt in the long run.

FI goes in these cycles - big boys pull away, people look for value elsewhere, gap shortens, big boys look more attractive after seeing continuous dividends, big boys pull away. Repeat. These will only be exaggerated during periods of high growth in new users, which is what we are in.

If you hold the top boys, don't sell a single share, use your dividends to either top up or diversify - you will be up by a decent % in 12 months. Panic, and you may make money elsewhere in the market, you may not, but you would be aswell lumping on FGS on paddies each week.

Come the second half the season - do you want a bunch of £1-2 players, or those that will be raking in PBs, MBs and big players in the Euros?

      PB players being battered ...

30 days ago price vrs price today.

      Messi - approx £5.27 ... now £4.82
      Parejo - approx £2.30 ... now £1.80
      Jorginho - approx £2.13 ... now £1.78
      Kroos - approx £4.26 ... now £3.59
      Luis Alberto - approx 2.58 ... now £2.28

If that isn't PB players taking a battering, I don't know what is mate ... 🤷🏼‍♂️🤔

(KROOS price now edited, thanks Eric! 👍)

You've picked 5 players. 5 players with an average age of 29 1/2. Come on, how can we take you seriously with such selective picks like this?

As a player gets older, their time to win dividends decreases, so their price should dip. Some of these have come sooner than they should, of course - but at least be reasonable when picking samples ffs.

As I said - I have a PB port that has ranged from 25-30 players, which has a annualised ROI of near 45% over just over 5 months - so no, PB players are not getting battered. Your selective picking have been battered, but that is just to push your own agenda.

    • RE: Market losing direction or just me?

I don't see the "PB players being battered" scenario that many paint. The trend seems to be people getting bored of their high value PB player not winning divs for a few weeks or longer, so they sell. Price drops, even some usually logical traders panic and sell also compounding the issue. Said player wins divs - huge rise. Slowly drops again until the next win. The rises always beat the drops (barring age concerns etc with certain players) - so if you have good PB players patience is key.

100 days ago I had a £16.5k port, with about 95% of it purely on high value (average cost per share circa £4) dividend players. My port is now £18.5k - a 12% rise - which if scaled up is circa 45% ROI over a year - and that is with a few duff decisions. Sure, if you look to closely at a certain 5 or 10 day period you will more than likely find dips, but its key to look at circa 20/50/100 day scenarios.

one of my first buys this man. in the europa cup for eintracht tonight part of Austrias euro squad. a sofascore rating of 7.4 .
And hes only 25 p/share . i hope he gets a good performance and rises a bit. ok he might be 30 years old but still . There ares some real bargains out there with older players in pb leagues imo. Does anyone know of others?

What is his average PB, top 5 max PBs and how much divs has he won in the past 2/3 years?

Thanks for all the info guys. So for clarity and to make sure I am not being a complete numpty it doesn't matter if it is 16p, 54p or a £1 you could be first in line to sell or at the bottom of the pile.

      In theory - correct.

He will win 5p today, maybe 3p tomorrow depending on what happens tonight.

      Will never win anything again.

    • RE: February's biggest risers...

@ScouseSte said in February's biggest risers...:

Personally, I think FI know that their risers list is a crock of shit and that's why they've put out some actual useful information in February's summary.

The thing is, they will never tweak or get rid of the risers list because it must generate so much income for them, in commission and the selling off of basically worthless futures.

Today is a prime example - the "top riser" has risen FOUR PENCE!! :

      0_1583396084762_Screenshot_2020-03-05-08-04-59-1.png

It costs buttons to move an 8p player to 12p, so it's the most irrelevant piece of trading to be given the spotlight. Can somebody tell me exactly how much it would have cost to move an 8p player to 12p?

Hopefully FI regularly send out these monthly highest risers (in £) lists and keep the quality information coming 👍

A huge £342 has went into him...big bucks!

      Bruno supplying Kane & Rashford....plus Sancho.....title winners. FI terms = ££££.

I'm tempted to sell, as I'm sure all holders who got on before the first batch of rumours at £2.70-£2.90ish are....but I love them divs.

      I'm holding until £10+.

At this rate that might be a couple weeks away only!

    • RE: Chasing dividends?

If you don't think they have a good chance (ie, not 2/3 times in their whole playing career) of winning dividends....why would you buy them, and why would others buy them to give you CA?

When the whole market wakes up to this, those holding players purely because they are cheap will get burned, and burned badly.

Port size doesn't matter, ROI does and should align to your risk persuasion.
