    • Why December is a good time to buy!

As with any good trader or investor the best time to buy is usally when the market is stagnating or when others are selling.

I honestly believe if you have funds available December is a great time to buy players and invest into FI,let me explain why.

Players prices are dropping - This may sound really obvious but alot of players prices have dropped over the last 2 weeks and this is an opportunity to buy a player for cheaper than he has been for a while, months in some cases. December is always quiet but January is always booming so any players you buy now will almost certainly cost more come the end January. Opporutnities to buy proven div returners for cheap do not come round very often.

IPD - Buying a player now is perfect for IPD. Everyone knows the fixture list is brutal in England over the festive period so buying a player now gives nearly all prem based players a huge amount of IPD div opportunities. Wolves for example have 7 games in the next 30 days. Whether you buy for IPD typically or not you can not argue that Xmas is a busy time so buying players at reduced cost with the added extra games for IPD is a huge positive.

Div opportunities + winter break - As mentioned above, the xmas period is a very congested time for football teams. Lots of matches to be played, lots of gold and silver days so plenty of opporutnities to win divs.

So to conclude buying now means you are getting players at a cheap price but with instant chances to win dividens, i believe almost any player brought now will be worth more come start of Febuary but you would of also had the opportunity to win IPD and PB divs.

Surely the top 200 is where there concentration should be right now? If the top of the market is booming it will filter down.
The players at the bottom of the market are cheap because they dont have much chance of winning dividends, now they do, all they have to do is put in a performance that is the top 6 of the week for their position.
Once people see this play out i think it will be a positive. TAA, Bruno, Sancho, KDB, Messi, SHOULD all fly in price.

    • RE: FI Update 8/1/2021: They're Removing IPD's In 30 Days

I believe this is a positive step forward.
They plan to reinvest the money that is paid out in IPD, this must be a significant amount and it sounds like the plan is to invest in a way that encourages trading. Maybe tiered PB payouts?

The IPDs was a hurdle in gaining the relevant regulations that will allow the company to access the German market, this can now move forward.
We have to wait and see but I believe this is a positive statement, people who trade purely for IPD may disagree.

    • RE: For any new traders out there just buy pogba

Cap appreciation isn't profit until you sell.

      Divs are cash straight away.

Pogba guarantees cash return every week in my eyes.

    • RE: Sleeping Giants of FI

Sleeping giants for me have to be ISCO and Kroos, both low prices at present but will both have key roles with Madrid this season.

Kroos is a pb returner but is never mentioned in transfer rumours so is currently under valued.

Isco - Zidane rates ISCO very highly, look at how Isco performed when Zidane was last in charge. Ansenio getting injured will only increase the likelihood of Isco having a good season.

I thinks its a positive start, lets get the top end of the market moving again. Players that do well in the PB will win so much, Bruno, Pogba, KDB, etc will all win so many dividens.

Match day dividends, will nearly always be in the top 6 for their position, team of the month, lots of opportunities to win. If we get the top of the market moving it will then trickle down to the lower priced players.

    • RE: Not Making Money

I joined in June and I was worried I had missed the boat, was worried I had missed all the growth in the platform.

6 months later I am over 30% up from 4k worth of deposits.

My biggest tip to anyone would be do not over sell, buy players and just sit on them. Chances are that most of those players will cost more in 6/12 months than they did when you brought them.

    • RE: For any new traders out there just buy pogba

Long thread to read this, I understand pumping Pogba because he is the king for the reason but what I don't understand is that there seem to be people who don't hold Pogba who want to try and drive his price down, why?

In my opinion the day Pogba is not the most expensive player on the platform is a very worrying day. A players price should be driven by the amount of divs he wins or the potential he has to win divs, Sancho is catching Pogba up daily but still doesn't return any divs.

People on this thread have been using capital appreciation in other players as to why not hold Pogba which is bizzare. Yes if you picked out Maguire last year then you would have made more money than you would have on Pogba but what if instead of pumping your money into Maguire you put it into John Stones? Maguire went on to have a blinding season and has gone up in price and I must say deserves to be the price he is today. The point being playing at that end of the market is a risk! If you put money in John Stones (England CB) then you would have made 0 in divs and lost or made very little on CA.

If you want to try and pick out the next Maguire and play the long game for CA then great it is a good strategy but if someone wants to take less of a risk and put money into someone who will almost guarantee div returns then that is okay also. No need to try and drive the price down or argue about someone's strategy.

If you pick out a future star you will make money.
If you buy Pogba you will win divs.

      Both Facts

    • RE: Neymar or Mbappé

I personally prefer Mbappe and have said on a few threads.

Mbappe is still only 20 years of age, he will soon become the best player on the planet. Investing in a player that good at 20 years of age now will mean only 1 thing, profit. Imagine investing in Messi when he was 20?

Mbappe has 10 years worth of divs payouts in front of him.

On top of that, I think it is well known to the whole football world that next summer Mbappe will go to Real Madrid for a record transfer and will be their new "Ronaldo".

This time next year his price could be any amount, new people joining the platform will naturally look to invest in the best young player in the world - Mbappe.

On and then on top of that you have the Euros next summer, he will be the poster boy for the world champions.

    • RE: Which players still have upside

I think the players you have listed all have potential growth in them but to be fair I think all players have potential growth in them still, I suspect Sancho and Bruno will be close to £10 a share by the start of March.

Sterling is the one for me though, really cheap. Performances have dipped slightly but city will go on to win the league, Sterling is still Peps number 1, champs league games coming up, Euros coming up, he is capable of winning star man, I expect his price to slowly keep rising until one game where puts out a mega score and then his proce will explode.

    • RE: £500 to invest for now

I think all the players at the top end of the market are safe investments right now. Bruno will never go more than a week without winning some form of divs and as a result i expect his price to slowly rise as the product grows.

Buy any regular div winner and watch the divs role in alongside hopefully some CA.

Any high profile players who will be in euros is also a safe bet.

    • RE: What I Like About The New Divs

I think MDE is a great new feature. People keep saying its only 1p but i swear these people are missing the point, its potentially an extra 1p for every week you hold that player and you can hold that player for 3 years! IPD was for 30 days!

An account on twitter has looked back at all the data for this season and if MDE was in place from september this year 247 different players would have won. Bruno would have won 5x!

    • RE: Announcement Verdict: Unsexy...but just what was needed ✅

If Match day extra was in place since the start of this season (16 complete game weeks) 247 different players would have won the extra dividends.

1 player has won it 5x
2 players have won it 4x
12 players have won it 3x
39 players have won it 2x
193 players have won it 1x

247 different players winning divs in the first half of the season.

@thelossadjustor 1p every week that you hold that person, sometimes 2p if they play 2 games a week.
You can hold a player for 3 years so you work out how many extra chances to win there is!
