You also have to consider a dividend increase was already priced in - most players were way overpriced in the old div structure

RE: The Great Pogba Price Plummet.
I'm holding onto Pogba as tough as it's been lately because even though he's had a quiet month he's still ended up most days inside the top 5 or 10 in the media rankings. If the market truly priced itself on dividend return then really he should be far and away the most valuable player on the Index. I think some media is going to come his way at some point, how far his price can recover probably depends on the likelihood of a move away from Manchester.
The sentiment on him is very negative at the minute but that could all change within a month or two.
RE: Name an old player and what price theyd be on the index
Rooney around Euro 2004 time would surely have been around £10+
I'm at a loss to understand why Pogba hasn't risen recently - his dividend return is the best on the Index by far to the point he may be the only player on the market to be genuinely underpriced. He's staying at United for at least another season yet still remains £1.50 below his peak meanwhile nearly every other player has flown.
Oh well, I'll keep buying and eventually the market will see sense.
RE: Are We Entering Another Boom Period?
My account has been booming the past month (my port is always PB heavy) but I'm concerned now that virtually all players on the Index are becoming overpriced and this sort of growth is unsustainable unless FI increase dividends substantially. My strategy is to buy players who I think can can win more dividends in total over the course of their career than their buy price. So for example - a player with a 10% yield at 22 years old is a good purchase as he should have at least 10 more years of playing and so can reach that 100% yield eventually.
I'm just worried as yield percentages are dropping rapidly across the board and FI don't seem to think a dividend increase is urgent. They increased PB divs by roughly 20% after the SS but share prices have almost doubled in the past 12 months.
RE: Petition for Assists to be worth 30...
I understand that portfolios are built to capitalise on the current system but with sufficient notice I think you could increase assists to 30, decrease GWG to 20 and introduce successful dribbles into the matrix without causing too much damage to players who are currently suited to PB.
RE: Thiago to dominate midfield PB at Bayern?
I'm surprised Thiago hasn't dropped. Even without clean sheets Kimmich is still the superior PB player bearing in mind he takes lots of set pieces and puts crosses in. Factor in that Thiago is a few years older and there is no way Kimmich should rationally fall below Thiago's price.
RE: CR7 crashes out of top 10...
@Cookie Sorry to go a bit over the top but it's just a comment I see regurgitated about CR7 all the time where clearly no thought goes into it.
maybe someone like Johann Cruyff although he was well before my time? But from what I can tell he had no shortage of skill, imagination, passing ability, goalscoring, pace, aerial ability etc and you could probably put him almost anywhere in midfield or attack and he'd excel.
Messi is the best present player by a mile imo but his relatively weak right foot and deficiencies in the air probably mean he is not the most complete - even though his finishing, passing and dribbling are from another planet. As for complete it sounds a bit silly but possibly Pogba? If his attitude is right he has pretty much every attribute you could want. Maybe the more hard-working Juve version over the Utd version.
