    • RE: National press

not really sure whether its good or bad to be honest

FI will not want mainstream attention drawn to their shenanigans but at the same time it may give them a kick up the arse to start acting within the rulebook & law

whether it is too late for that i dont know

what i do know is that no new customers would want to sign up to this given the shitstorm that's brewing up

i blame FI twitter and all them idiot accounts for trying to bully that cranberry bloke after giving his opinion

      backfired big time on them

    • is anyone interested in pursuing their losses caused be betindex labs & mr cole ?

so i am in the process of seeking legal advice regarding FI's mismanagement of this financial product and tampering with traders open bets

they claim these changes were to our benefit but unfortunately thousands of people have ended up losing a LOT of money so its now quite clear the changes to the platform were not beneficial to users

in their own terms and conditions they also promise to give us 30 days notice if they were to ever implement such massive changes to the platform , i think we were lucky to have around 24 hours notice prior to IS removal ( not that we could even use IS as they had suspended it from the beginning of April )

i believe there has been gross mismanagement here and i believe if FI was considered a "bookmaker" they would never have gotten away with this as freely as they have done up to this point .....many have been left in a state of utter bewilderment over their recent actions

if a bookmaker was to change the open ante post bet 3/4 of the way through the season to reflect completely different circumstances to when the bet was placed and therefore severely negatively impacting the consumers odds there would be regulators queuing out of the door to investigate

FI have been running wild in the grey area they've engineered between gambling & investing and its high time they got held accountable for their actions

its not getting any better and this bunch of cowboys need hauling down to the sheriffs office

if anyone is interested in joining a class action lawsuit to pursue their losses feel free to message me

    • how much do you stand to lose ?

      i will begin

having started on football index September 2019 i made the £500 deposit to make use of the money back guarantee

i was quite impressed that most players seemed to rise in capital appreciation for very little reason at all

i continued depositing £50 here and there and speculating on what i felt were "undervalued" players at the time this strategy seemed to work fairly well the platform seemed stable and was regularly being sold as an investment vehicle by both football index and the community

by jan20 i think i had roughly £800 in there nothing crazy

i was planning on putting around 5K in by march 20 but thank Christ covid came around and stopped me from doing it

but for what has perhaps been one of my stupidest ideas in a long time i decided to put more in April 20 to capitalise on the 8% spend bonus they were pumping

by the end of april 20 i think i had roughly doubled my "investment" to £1600 around 2 weeks later instant sell was completely suspended from the platform and later removed "to protect the market " .....i quickly realised something wasn't right but thought i would give them the benefit of the doubt and tried to de-risk as best i could

by October i had realised that this wasn't a string of "mistakes or coincidences" most of it had been very well planned out this was cemented by cole stepping down as CEO

i was lucky in a sense a lot of my "lower end" players became worthless very early on so i couldn't sell them , i now realise had i sold them all for peanuts i doubt i would have had the grounds to sue the bastards

all in i think i will be lucky to walk away from this down £300-400 but its 100% something i wish i had never gotten involved with

i am aware some will have done very very well out of it and good luck to them but feel ultimately a lot of us are going to pay a heavy price for being involved with this company

how much do you stand to lose is not a question that's regularly thought about on this platform but at this stage its definitely one that needs thinking about ?

    • RE: Bull and bear markets.

Jesus Christ how many times this isn't a real financial market the principles don't apply because its controlled in its entirety by a 3rd party who do as they please

its the equivalent of someone like amazon running the S&P 500 and dictating prices and amending the entire fund whenever they feel like it

    • RE: Re-genesis

      they aren't working with Nasdaq

the "Nasdaq powered order books " are shock horror not Nasdaq powered

there's been no mention of Nasdaq since last September so either Nasdaq have had enough of their nonsense and said fuck this we are off ,

or Fi don't have the money to use them anymore

people keep talking as though " they must do something to save the market and stop the crashes " why !?!

why do they care about the crashes they aren't involved in the market anymore crashes just mean more commission for them

people cant seem to grasp no money can leave this product unless new money is coming into replace it , anything else just causes market contraction and downward price pressure

theres nothing FI "can do" to stop this other than trying to get new customers on board and given they've just had an article published in the national press warning unsuspecting victims not to get involved with them

i'd say that's going to be very difficult going forward

    • RE: Stay with me...

@Bamford-s-Armpit i cant see some of the big accounts being happy with this idea

who wants 100K + tied up for 2 months not doing fuck all answer is nobody

we all know its the big 100K plus accounts that are currently dictating to management what they want and how they want it done , rumours of big accounts wanting IPD removed started around 3 weeks ago on twitter all of a sudden FI announce IPD's are going

this platform has an absolute plethora of problems , the product at its core is flawed the management are way way out of their depth and have been for quite some time , half the userbase has run a mile , the other half are are either stuck with dead holds or people who somehow believe FI will be able to come out of this smelling of roses

problem is the product doesn't have infinite appeal ..... customers need to be interested in football and gambling vast sums of money on odds that change on a monthly basis , there are now multiple competitors in this space which are arguably doing a far better job than football index have in the last 6 months

they are losing market share rapidly and again its not an infinite pool of customers , most of which they have already burnt bridges with

on top of that they are clearly in some degree of financial distress

all of this does not paint a pretty picture.

    • RE: We Will Never See Prices Like This Again

@o_O ive got everything him and cole have said about it in a file

cole is my main target but bohan is eventually going down to , i wont let this lie until both of them have answered for their fraud

we are early seeing this for what is it but once they start fucking around with mb and pb the masses will be baying for blood at that stage they will just wind the whole thing up and disappear off the face of the earth thats the biggest danger you cant sue a wound up company

i think we have a 6-8 month window although judging by yesterdays announcement their financial position could be even worse than i thought

i think cole has realised this to be honest makes absolutely fuck all sense for him to have been talking about taking the product to a billion pound market cap only to resign 3 months later , i think he knows where this is headed and wants to distance himself from it as quickly as possible

bohan is so arrogant he thinks hes been done a favour haha

    • RE: What's triggered this buying today🤔

there is a lot of nonsensical buzz that has been whipped up on social platforms which is strange because nothing has really changed other than FI have substantially reduced divs and liquidity in one announcement

but social media is historically a very powerful tool for creating fomo sentiment in this product , bigger accounts have begun to realise this again and are now over hyping anything FI do

because they realise it is in their interests too rises will help them reduce their exposure and trust me there are some VERY exposed traders on there

sentiment has also been fortunate to be aided by a weekend of favourable results most of the big hitters winning divs

problem is whilst trading volumes are so low this isn't good for FI as they would have taken an absolute pounding on dividends this weekend

and remember folks if it aint good for FI , it definitely aint good for you :)

    • RE: 3 year hold

its a fundamental flaw in FI's terms and business model

they say they are selling you a 3 year bet but in reality its a lifetime bet because they aren't expiring anything within the "virtual market"

which actually means these "bets" should really be sold as investments but FI dont want to admit that because then it means opening the books up to the taxman and the FCA

dont worry though i am about to blow this hatchet wide open
