@Ringers The only naive people are the ones that can't put two and two together. Klopp comes out and says "‘I told him already, he has an important role this year – but how important? Again, it depends on him and we will see. ‘He has to play different positions as well because the centre is OK, wing I think is possible, and then we will see how we can line up. There will be opportunities for him, I am really sure.’
That says to me he's good enough to be part of a Liverpool squad that's just won the champions league. Liverpool could go out and buy a world class striker but they are putting faith in Brewster.
Too me, it sounds like he isn’t good enough.
It sounds like, I’d love Griezmann but I’m not allowed to buy him, so if we are shit next year, it’s your fault mr chairman
Now come on we can all make of it what we really want, but to say that Klopp cant spend the cash if he wants is a ridiculous statement. Liverpool have learned from their mistakes and are buying when they 100% know a player will improve and fit, just look at the money they paid VVD. Klopp has a champions league winning squad, he doesnt want to upset that in any way.
If Liverpool bought Griezman he would want record wages and to be first choice forward, which would upset what Klopp has already built. Why would we buy him when Bobby is the perfect fit for our team and Klopp can mould Brewster into whatever player he wants him to be without jeopardising what he already has.
Brewster has potential to be better than Griezman, however we all know he has potential not to be anywhere near either. We just need to wait and see but give him time.
