@NewUser162554 that's the most sensible reason i've heard for investing so far at least!!! Purely speculative and taking a punt!!!
I've had Martial on my radar for a while now but other than Pogba (who i picked up post WC at 5.43) the only United player i own is Rashford who i picked up at £4.34 a couple of months back...
Now i'm not saying Martial, Rashford or any other United player was a bad buy... What i'm saying was surely the best time to have brought these players would have been a couple of months back or when form was bad with the view to them being young enough & good enough to improve enough over time!!! Not buying them at the height when news of more uncertainty can send them toppling either way!!!
I get that the flippers can get in and out today on the big shifts in movement but wonder if longer term holders who believe these players will go on to better things will have the patience for the upcoming dips when they realise it might not be all that after all? All i'm saying is have a sense of realism... United aren't suddenly going to be Champions League contenders, they aren't overnight going to compete with City or Liverpool... They might get a upturn in positivity and a few nice wins against opposition they should beat but stay focused to your strategy and 'just because' everyone else is doesn't always necessarily mean it's the best thing for you to do!!!
A forward who is allowed to attack has more value than one who has to defend all game. That’s all I’m saying.
