    • Can someone official please get us an explanation?

      Can someone at FI give clarity over the decision to open up the GK category for PB? Its been long rumored and punted by traders on every big announcement night, but always clearly explained why it shouldn't happen by numerous traders on here and twitter over the years. Lots of us knew the negative affect it would have on the other players values so I fail to understand that FI wouldn't have known.

      Did those making the decision really not foresee the swing it would cause? Or did they know what would happen?

      It does seem a few things have happened recently where the decision makers didn't know how traders would react. Is there not a trader consultation group still being used for things like this?

      @Dan_FI @Global-Moderators @administrators @Marc_FI @FI_Mark

      Thanks in advance for any feedback you can get us.

      Let's see if I can get them all in on one go... Bet I miss 1 or 2 though!

      Covid
      Christmas
      People waking up to new risk now no IS to FI
      Lots of subs and resting
      Competition popping up all over the place
      Loss of trust
      Lack of comms
      Loss of trust to previously deemed "guides"
      Shit tech, still.
      Market depth exposing how thin it all is
      Trading metrics showing FI currently losing money regularly
      Negative sentiment snow balling
      Career divvers still preaching despite a lot of the above
      PB has been a bit random on gold days, lack of divs reinvested
      IPOs introduced at a weird time
      Account manager recently showed what's he's about
      People waiting for a December bonus
      Lots of money trapped in lower end players
      Endless lies or absolute blunders from FI
      They're either liars or clueless
      Road map disappeared
      An apparent ex insider spilled the beans about problems FI are having
      @Coriolanus and @Ericali agreeing on things recently
      Some YouTube doing a risk video, months after @Tom7471 did pretty much the same thing and got ridiculed by those "guides"
      Some sort/rumours of law suit going on vs FI
      FI looking greedy or desperate with IPOs
      Too many rule changes, even when they put a rule in place to preempt things, they change it when its actually needed.
      The current market mechanocs
      FI being sneaky and tryi g to mint players like Evra!
      FI minting holding back cap app
      Their horrible Ts and Cs keep changing with little option of realistically stopping if we don't agree
      Lack of liquidity means you can't Stop if the fun stops your strapped in
      Yields mean nothing with this sort of cap dep
      Mismanagement
      FI dividend predictor advertising how hard it is to win pb
      Marketing stopped/slowed
      Trust pilot getting a beating
      Recent ad suggested you can cash out anytime... You cant
      Stingey new user offer versus other platforms
      Other platforms delivering development targets and managing issues they have
      New user trade 'risk free offer' actually full of risk
      Akash didn't have a clue on the podcast he did
      AC didn't have a clue on the last couple of tweet chats he did
      Pb score errors
      MB score errors
      Inconsistencies across pb and mb rules

      I'm sure there's more...

      Bright side, if you back FI to sort it out divs are great, and you can still make money trading. They must have big cash reserves to see them through. So far the competition seems quite niche, think FI is still easiest to get into...but they do need to hurry up or they'll get caught up and if so itl be a battle of the best payouts, money will go if payouts on a very similar product are better (at this moment they are not)

    • Benedict Cumberbatch TV ad - make it happen.

      Please can someone make this advert happen:

      After a long day at an office job,Benedict comes home, he lives alone, the wife left him (but he doesn't mind that). Some mail he opens advertises shitty ISAs 1% offer, he scoffs, that's lower than inflation! He puts the sports news on and a breaking piece of news catches his attention. He puts down the cat food (like I said his wife left him) and whips his phone out. Frantically tapping buy on the player linked in the news story. It's a transfer story of some unknown Brazilian signing for Utd. He looks at the media buzz and sees this kid is all over it- he has bagged some premiums and he got in before the masses, the stock is rising!
      He then settles down to his laptop with a microwave spag bol and bottle of red. We see him doing hours of weird data analysis of football players and some old school maths calculation with a pen on his glass window that overlooks London. It's sweaty business, but although mentally exhausted, at the end, he looks relieved and reflective- we see him purchase a player before going to sleep.

      The next day, we see him don a long coat with a big collar, and put a blue and white scarf on. Bit trendy, bit geeky. He walks towards a proper London boozer with scum and yobs all around with tattoos and bellies out. The odd QPR top is clearly visible.
      He (almost invisibly) works his way to the bar orders a coffee (forgetting where we was)- they refuse to serve him, it's an awkward moment, but he reacts- he wants to watch the match so puts on an act, he's clever like that. So he has to try and stomach a half of watery lager...trying to be one of the lads, he sips it to try and fit in and go unnoticed in what is clearly not his favourite environment.
      He makes his way to a crowded TV area, sits with his port open on his mobile (wouldn't risk taking his laptop to this type of establishment) watching the match. A player scores an absolute wonder goal- we see a flash back to his window- it's the same player his research produced last night! Cue the end music to Bourne Identity by Moby. A smug smirk appears on his face. The yobs are all shouting at the screen, but he remains calm. He leaves the shitty lager and fades away from the pub scene- we know, he knows he's made money.
      We then see back in the pub an advert for FI on the tv and even some of those yobs start to take note and start sticking tenners on the player that just scored.
      A last look at Benny and we seem him setting off on a yacht on the Thames with a captains hat on with an absolute babe (perhaps Clare Goose) and a bottle of bubbly smirking at his stock rising. Looks like he's not turning up to work tomorrow. Still the Moby tune playing as they go down river.

    • Buy tonight / Buy tomorrow 8 games in 30 days teams.

      Have never really fully got into IPD chasing. Tried it a few times and feels like I got burnt like traditional betting on a couple (at least my whole stake wasn't lost!). Most annoying was that I was right about Morata's return from injury and him going to bang all the goals in, but in my 30 days he scored once, the next 30 he scored about 8! So now I'm back to just seeing them as a bonus or possible cashback on a mid/long term buy.

      I think the next few pay day boosts will still be PB stars orientated as agreed by those on the FIGpodcast @The-FIG chat 'in the pub' episode. There is still a lot of value to be had in the pedigree PB players, even after their rises. With further rumors of a future reward to be added in about long term performance, this could be PB based, or maybe rewarding players that just don't suit the matrix, but do score highly in other rankings e.g. sofascore or whoever the website is where it looks like FI are now working with- it will add even more value.

      So looking at topping up/buying players (even ones I've previously held and sold before!) now before the pay day rises. Especially with a few dips, from the IPO onslaught and the international break, on some pedigree PB players. And which ones might be playing lots of games to hopefully give some cashback from IPDs.

      Looked at whether there were any fixture advantages and can share this below. Hope it's useful:
      S= Single game days D= Double game days (Rest are triple).

      If you buy tonight:
      Dortmund = 8 games, 3S, 2D
      Bayern = 8 games, 3D
      Hoffenheim = 8 games, 3S
      RB Leipzig = 8 games, 1S, 2D
      Etienne = 8 games
      Wolfsburg = 8 games
      Lyon = 8 games, 4D
      Arsenal = 8 games, 2S
      Man City = 8 games, 3D
      Leverkusen = 8 games, 3D
      Barcelona = 8 games, 3D
      Lille = 8 games, 2S, 4D
      PSG = 8 games, 1s, 3D
      Wolves= 8 games, 1D
      Metz = 8 games, 1D
      Rennes = 8 games, 1D

      If you buy tomorrow: (most, if not all of the above are still in the window too)
      Frankfurt = 8 games, 1S, 3D
      Chelsea = 8 games, 4D
      Real Mad = 8 games, 4D
      Man Utd = 8 games, 2D
      Spurs = 8 games, 4D
      Monaco = 8 games, 4D

      And just slightly further ahead (I don't know if games can still be moved...but):
      Buy on the 28th Nov and get 9 games (4D) for Man Utd.

      So looking at that- who do you buy? For PB? For just IPD?

      If the next major market boost is another artificial one e.g. Bonus, then I think many will see it as a time to sell and then reevaluate or leave. If it is something that will add permanent value e.g. Pb/mb increase I think money will flood back in and it will stay in.

      Didnt get a chance to respond as thread gone now...but as i wrote it, thought i could put it here then delete when @NewUser455434 has read it...apologies @Sav2000 for hijacking- but it is sort of related i guess.

      @NewUser455434 said in .](/post/252784):

      @MrWh1te No, I am not a spy, we are grown up. Maybe they fear it, maybe they think itโ€™s a dark area and donโ€™t want to get exposed

      If referring to me- I have openly showed my hand on here several times, I am sure even @Ericali as a strong 'call it out' voice on here, and one that wants rid of these posts, will agree I have acted appropriately? If not let me know. And happy to also be judged by the wise @MickTurbo and @johnboywalker who have both in past put users in to check. What about he unofficial guardian of the forum @Advinculas-Index ?

      My site doesn't earn off clicks- I have no advertising companies etc out of principle. I just have links to football trading products. It is a work of passion about getting gamblers away from bookies and helping people trade on any football trading platform. On twitter and on here I have agreed about the gambling elements to FS and encouraged people if they are on it to exclude those parts- which if signed up through me actually does me no good at all! The amount of time I put in to promoting FI and cost of setting up a site etc makes any little commissions along the way pretty negligible- if I was about making money from it, it'd be plastered with those horrible ads you see on footy sites- hair transplants...Russian brides...get rich quick...get big quick... you'd also see me trying to get sponsored by a certain trading company that sponsors someone else FI based! I could even charge a sign up fee like many other FI content sites...If i ever do turn profit i have already told high profile members i will be willing to pay fees for an insight to their trading- so money going back into the community and pretty much the Index.

      I've said this elsewhere, but in case you missed it- On the original FS thread a few weeks back (not set up by me) I did respond to those asking about it and did respond with a pointer to my link for those saying they wanted one- its the best deal available (better than a friend referral etc), so if they were going to join anyway they get the best deal through me? I hardly promoted it and in fact ended up agreeing that this forum wasn't suitable- so due to that thread i went about creating a forum on my already- multi-platorm based football trading (that mostly pumps FI) site- to encourage the discussion elsewhere and not on here.

      After that thread, there have been numerous follow ups- all I have done on those is give pointers to move the discussion to the forum I set up and get the FS stuff off here (I agree and sympathise that it shouldn't be on the main FI forum- if it is on here it should at least start on the Off Topic category where healthy discussion of a competitor could be useful for FI to follow- its up to them, and its also up to the forum users to engage or not). I have liked peoples comments in the threads asking for it to be moved.

      I'd hope anyone that has followed me on here will agree I am all about FI content- the threads on here and pretty much 95% of my site's articles. If I was targeting sign ups on here, I would have created these numerous threads?

      FI users need to stop creating FS threads and stop engaging with them.

    • RE: The Announcement: Marks Out Of Ten Please?(Poll)

      Pros - team of the month has been needed for ages, but 1p/2p per position would have ticked that box alongside the
      money going on proper div rises.
      - there must be something else planned towards achieving growth- shared liquidity expansion? planned bonus
      periods? Euros promo? Surely 10x wasn't just more guff from AC???

      cons - gk category is an absolute shake the money tree tactic again hitting premium holders or a signal they have no clue
      how their market works
      - rise is pathetic compared to player price growth
      - predicted yields are no longer attractive with the added risk now
      - tech struggled again meaning some couldn't react whilst some could
      - its kept competitors in the game when they could have stomped all over them
      - its done little to grab hold of the recent positivity- we are going to have a lot of miserable traders again

      Overall I do get the caution needed for businesses at these times, but I do worry they may have been over cautious here and therefor put an air of risk on themselves. Look at that sell queue forming on world stars right now! I've never seen this on an announcement night, usually the total opposite! If they really had no clue that would happen with the intro of GKs they are f#cking muppets and if they planned to do this and have this affect to try and make some big commission they're f#cking crooks! These drops will send a lot of recent new users packing that have been buying the star dividend players.

      Out of interest, those saying they accept the money is going from premiums to GKs but the premiums will rise again after, are they buying the premium dip now? Regardless of the GKs, do they feel the premiums are still value on this div table?

      Still don't think they understood why traders want the mb and pb matrixs set in stone for a few years. Akash babbling on about if they gave us the data tools we wouldn't fear changes as we'd be able to redo our portfolios accordingly - ridiculous. We have the data tools already, that's not the problem, the problem is we don't want to have to constantly doubt our long term holds for dividends and value. They didn't grasp that if crosses get nuked and say headers get bumped up then some players could plummet in price whilst others rise.

    • New content in progress e.g. my biggest FI mistake - feedback welcome!

      Have been a bit quieter on here for a few reasons- work is busy at the moment, baby Westy on the way soon!, trying to cut my port down from 200! and trying to trade solely off dividends for a bit...but also been working on some football trading content:

      https://www.footballtradinginsights.com/

      I've teamed up with @Vespasian32 as he has always seemed the polar opposite type trader to me and argues well, and an outsider named as 'Hasselbanker' who is not into FI properly yet, but has a wealth of stock market skills and knowledge.

      The 3 of us see the site as a bit of an extension to the forum where outsiders can join in ( and obviously- to keep it running- we have to try the whole on-boarding of new customers through ads etc...which wont interest you) but the heart of the site will be articles on our trading mistakes (which are rarely discussed on twitter or on here by traders), our strategies and the future of football markets.

      A while back in a thread I said I was clearing up a mess in my port and someone asked about it- it's explained here, my biggest loss to date: https://www.footballtradinginsights.com/hindsight-1

      Elsewhere on the site you can read up on @Vespasian32 current strategy and have a quick look at how Footstock currently use order books and whether FI will have a similar version to begin with or a simple option versus real order books.

      It is pretty much just at testing stage...lots more content to come. I think for most of you experienced trades it will be the Hasselbanker articles that will be worth a read in future so keep an eye out for them- i cant answer some of his high brow trading questions on the way FI works etc, so would be good to get some of you on here to convince him! Also get in touch if you would like to get an article on the site!

      All feedback welcome!

      I just managed to pump it on @IRISHFI podcast recorded tonight going out Monday ๐Ÿ˜‰ , so I've got til Monday to sort out any obvious errors etc that you spot, so just let me know, cheers!

      One thing I'm already aware of is that it doesn't quite fit mobile phones properly (seems better on PCs/laptops- i will have to sort that out! If anyone uses a tablet, id be keen to hear how it looks?

      Governments are not trying to stop it nor can they as it is unconstitutional.
      As a matter of fact they are all moving into central bank digital currencies (CBDC's) which already exist in paper and are ready to be rolled out in the next few years.
      People should be aware that the amount of money printing deployed by central banks to 'help' the corona virus situation will result in massive inflation.
      Smart people are preparing themselves. Others haven't got a clue and will be badly exposed

      Aren't the governments doing that to bring out their own coins though?

      @Karl good points made.

      Limiting myself to the pot I'm left with (banned myself from further deposits) is definitely making me a better trader overall and its the volatility we're now getting making it fun to buy and sell, so there's legs in this whole thing yet.

      Look at Bruno's 3 month graph, anyone who has nailed timing him/timing the market sentiment is making decent % each time. It is sentiment trading at the moment, and I'm finding it quite predictable just by watching twitter.

      I sense more details of IPD replacement this week, maybe not the whole shaba g, but something.

    • RE: Is FI pulling the wool over everyones eyes with the recent temporary reduction in Dividends

      @Karl the problem with FIG is that I think he's totally lost credibility with the Sancho pumping and the refusal to discuss how the changes (post article) massively changed the platform and the risk involved. Instead of reasoned debate, he attacked those that raised concerns of these issues coming... But then months later, (when it was a bit trendier to talk risk on twitter) he spouted stuff the same of those he lambasted publicly had said months before. He's either banned in his affiliation deal from airing negative issues around the platform, or just not that switched on, which wouldn't be a problem except for his branding. This whole nosedive in the platform has been an eye opener into which accounts speak their minds freely and which may have reasons for not doing so. Even if it's not to do with a deal, if just choosing to spout positivity non stop then I can understand why and its a great mentality to have, but overall it still can be damaging for other users being lead to put more money in.

      Let's hope FI are really working on something that really does raise the bar again and make it stand out from a bookies, to do so they have to find a way to lower the risk level and show we can get cap app whilst they also mint.

      I'm close to a few of the early problem spotters, they all derisked at the time of warning others to do so. I only derisked a little. The majority of big voices were ridiculing the few and I ended up backing the product, the things they were saying were "ridiculous". If I'd followed the few "negative voices" I'd be a much richer man right now. Now I'm still in the game. Big cash balance lingering too. I need FI to sort it out to have another chance to fully derisk, but if they sort it properly I don't need to derisk and infact I could reconsider putting it all back in.

      I bet there's a lot like me who have taken a chunk out but have it available and would put it back in if FI improves considerably. This alone improves liquidity.

      If you mean bringing back instant sell, where they buy your shares back from you, zero chance. Too much liability their end if they did.

      But I think even they made more money with IS in place opposed to this new version. They said they had to get rid of it as they weren't allowed to continue it, but other platforms still offer their own version of IS so not sure that's true.

      @Drogo90 yes the process above is taking time and those affected the most bought in the big spike. Since then its been quite stable.

      They've had full order books along the way so it is driven by demand.

      Will be interesting to see what happens if/when expiry comes in to play on FI. Again over supply etc.

      Both have issues, one seems to be working on them in a clear and transparent manner.

      Can only advise people to 'play' them for fun now. I think FI may have missed the alternative asset boat. Its all competitive fantasy football now betting you can beat other players (or beat FI through div returns).

      Sudden influx of users on Sorare this lock down (judging by twitter timelines).

      Cant help but think in both cases FI could have destroyed competition through being more professional and on the pulse. I'm yet to see sentiment in the other platforms be rocked as many times as it has on FI.

    • RE: Footstock

      @Drogo90 there was a market boom last covid lockdown when the virtuals attracted attention. That caused lots of cards in circulation especially as then new users got free cards to start with and could use them to win more etc then a crash as many new users left when real football returned and cards became over populated in the market.

      FS have put measures in place to correct this. Seems to be working well so far. Main way is an amnesty of cards (voluntary) in return for tournament credit at market value or more, when you do the deal they show the range of credit you may receive.

      They've also done more about packs and market buying themselves etc. New users using a link get a net spend credit return rather than free cards now.

      It will take time to clear the excess, then gradually as cards are rarer they could grow more, but with with volatility around if players are on form and demand outweighs supply.
