    • RE: Has anyone got their bonuses yet?

I kind of feel like they are damaging the product here hiding behind terms and conditions to get out of paying the deposit bonus, people are getting disgruntled and will leave the platform for good as a result of a technicality, it's very short sighted

Common sense would say, ok, we can see you deposited in order to get the deposit bonus, just make sure you properly opt in next time and we'll pay it this time, problem solved

Also, the opt in process isn't particularly great, I know from my experience on the world cup sweepstake, there was no confirmation email or anything like that confirming that I'd opted in, I just had to assume that I did

By the way, I didn't deposit during this period, so it doesn't affect me either way, but I just think they should show a bit of leniency in this instance

    • RE: Mo Salah

There's now mixed reports on how serious his injury is, hopefully there's a long drawn out will he / won't he make the world cup saga which generates a bit of buzz, the huge spread on him has put me off the idea of trying to cut my losses, I'm going to continue to hold, when I purchased him he was always going to be one of my long term holds anyway, so although the red on my portfolio is disconcerting I need to keep reminding myself it is irrelevant

      @Wolves_Ay_We And expense fella...

I completely get that it would have been expensive, but most definitely worth it, 22 million people watched that match if only 1% of people signed up, then that's 220,000, the exposure would have been huge, missed opportunity for me

Now that I've got shares in him, I can offer my 2p worth

I'm a wolves fan, and this lad is worth every single penny of what we paid for him and it's frightening to think that he's only 20 years old, he really is a future super star

Newsnow is the site I tend to use, they collate all national and local papers, if you're looking for transfer rumours I find local papers are the best place, as by the time they've hit the nationals, a lot of the time you missed the player's rise

    • RE: Jack Grealish now staying at Villa ...

I personally still think he will go, Villa are just playing hard ball and holding out for more cash, his price has dropped slightly given the latest update, but £2.33 a share for someone who is a maybe to move from a non PB league is too high a price for me

    • RE: Noirx4 data has helped me a lot in a space of 4 months

Yeah, I think the data is great and it's only going to improve over time as more and more PB scores get added in, I've managed to find a lot of bargains by applying a few filters and every single 1 of my 30 or so sub £2 players who have historically scored decent on PB is in the green

£1 a month and I cannot recommend it highly enough

@NewUser64862 said in New season Pb players:

@Ermejo How much in each of these have you got if you don’t mind me asking. Or if so what would be recommended for a decent enough return to warrant it...100 in each or more? (Obviously sky’s the limit with dispensable funds, what I mean is what’s a starting point that would offer good returns, if your thinking of getting serious and have “enough” cash to apply.

Jumping in on this one, what I do is purchase 60 shares in the ones I mentioned, when I reach 10% rise, I sell 15 shares, 15% I sell the next 15 and then at 20% I sell the final 30, I'm potentially selling myself short but it leads to steady profit, I'm looking to increase this strategy to 100 shares going forwards

    • RE: New season Pb players

Using the spreadsheets that @Noirx4 produces, (£1 a month, highly recommended), I have identified the following players which fit the following criteria, using last seasons PB scores:

      Highest score >220
      Average score >90
      Average baseline >90
      Cost < £2

      Ever Banega (now £2.03)
      Iago Aspas
      Leo Dubois
      Vincent Kompany
      Marcelo Brozovic
      Benjamin Bourigeaud
      Andrej Kramaric
      Lars Stindl
      Giacamo Bonaventura
      Christoph Kramer
      Amadou Diawara
      Stefano Sensi
      Idrissa Gueye
      Nicolas Pepe
      Antonio Rudiger
      Pablo De Blasis

If they carry on their scoring in the coming season then there is a decent chance of dividends on these

It's linked to opta so maybe on their website.

I agree with you though I find his score a bit high given his performance, Ronaldo only scored 30 points more yesterday and he got a hat trick

Honestly, the way Jonny has been playing, he wouldn't get into the side, this was a bit of discontent amongst certain wolves fans when we sold Douglas but that's died down since we've seen how good Jonny has been

@Agatello Coady's goal threat is pretty much non existent, he doesn't go up for corners as he lacks the physical presence of Boly and Bennett, he only scored one last season which was a penalty gifted to him against Bolton as we were a few goals ahead

    • RE: Is WatchList on the app?

Not on the android app as far as I'm aware, I've found that the watchlist doesn't transfer between platforms anyway, so for example I put a player on my watch list on my desktop, he doesn't automatically go onto my watchlist on chrome on my phone

What I tend to do instead is buy 1 share in a player, I also find it easier to track his price this way as well

Surely one thing that FI should bring in is the ability to download your own CV file, I'd imagine they get a lot of requests for the transaction history and the ability for us to get it ourselves would save them a lot of work in the long run

    • RE: £5000

Find yourself a good historic data source, either Noir4X's spreadsheets or Football Index Edge and pick players who have historically scored well on PB, you shouldn't go far wrong with this strategy

Try and avoid users who are naming specific players as a lot of the time they are trying to pump their own players for personal gain, often at your expense

Absolutely, if risk outweighs reward I tend to take my money and run, profit is profit, so you should always be happy with that

    • RE: Thoughts on Realising Profits

@dannypea I think your 3rd paragraph hits the nail on the head, I just need to remind myself that I have bought these players because they (hopefully) are capable of good PB scores and trust my original judgement on why I bought them in the first place

It just makes you nervous when a player's price rockets because we all know that it only takes one bad PB score for them to drop straight back down!!

I don't know the ins and outs of the transfer but moving to a non-pb league will almost certainly negatively effect his price

    • Thoughts on Realising Profits

Afternoon all, this is a question that I want to throw out there on people's thoughts on when's the best time to start realising profits in players.

To use my example, a couple of weeks ago I made a list of around 60 players who all play for CL or EL teams (1 in each position) of who I think will be good for PB this coming season. So far I've purchased about 35 of these and plan to add more when I deposit more cash in the coming weeks.

Luckily for me, at the top of my list were defenders, and so I have fortunately caught the trend of everyone buying up defenders

Some of them (Jordi Alba being the main one) are showing very healthy profit levels

I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on whether I should realise these profits and move my now increased bank balance to my other targets or hold onto the players as they are and hope that they continue to rise?
